4 tips for making your LED lights longer

LED lights should be for years. If you're like me, you've had bulbs on you after a few months.

Before owning the company that made them, you should know that there is a chance that it is not necessarily the manufacturer's fault. There are some user errors that can reduce the life of your LED.

Many not light bulb

Many LED lamps are not rated for built-in luminaires, such as ceiling fans. The adjacent area can make the lamp flicker because there is not enough air circulation, causing overheating. Flicker and heat are light bulbs.

A good rule of thumb is if there is less than a 1

/2 inch circumference between the lamp and the fixture, find an LED rated for closed luminaires.

Don't let it get too cold or too hot

For optimal life, LEDs should be used in rooms that are 50 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (10-27 degrees Celsius). This is because in low temperatures, the lamp works much harder to heat up and become light. At higher temperatures, the heat can damage the components and shorten their lifetime, according to the Energy Star.

Matching Your Power Source

It is important to match the bulb of the bulb or headlight to your bulb if you want it to remain. Too much wattage that flows through a light bulb can tear it out quickly.

If you do not know the effect you need, take a look at the fixture or lamp nearby where the lamp is screwed. There should be a gold sticker that will tell you exactly what kind of bulb is the best.

Don't turn

When you were a kid, did your parents ever call you to blink up and turn off the switch several times? Shown they were on something.

Each time an LED is turned on, it puts extra wear on the bulb. So if you have a child who likes to turn around, imitate your parents and tell them to cut it out.
