High season is fast approaching. If you are considering a new console purchase, there are five major reasons to make it into the Nintendo Switch.
It may not be the new console world's new love anymore, but it's still the must-have console for this time of year. Here are 5 reasons why this is the case.
It's perfect for the whole family
Usually the holiday season is to catch up with young and old. Hours and days will be spent with every part of your extended family from your grandmother to your little cousin, who has just been aged when consoles look like fun. Nintendo Switch is the perfect console for all these people. Seriously.
See, Playstation 4 and Xbox One are good, but they assume some knowledge about how to use a console or even a game controller. The gear does not. It's super intuitive and Joy-Cons is really well designed. They are small enough for a child to grab even robust enough that an adult does not feel they're snapping it.
Thanks to the straight buttons and many games that do a good job of explaining things, you will not be left with the task of deciphering everything for beginners. There is also the fact that the majority of games are perfect for all age groups. There is something for everyone.
The Exclusives Are Pretty Great
Games that are exclusive to a console are generally what makes you want to buy that console. In the case of Nintendo Switch, its exclusive is really quite amazing. Nintendo has always done good first party games and they have really gone for this. We covered the best must have exclusivity earlier this year, but let me guide you through some amazing bright future memories.
Consider uploading Zelda Legend: Breath of the Wild with your baby brother or sister. They have not played a Zelda game before. This is a very cool moment for you both. You wander the field of the game and take in the invisible endless potential of what you can do before handing over the check and letting them check a cool prison.
Sounds amazingly idyllic, right? If it's a bit limited to just a few people to watch.
It's when you replace it with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the whole family is participating in some entertaining races that simply require you to divide Joy-Con controls. Or you jump into Super Mario Party for some super fun collaborative or competitive Mario-themed mini games.
And do not forget about Nintendo Labo! It makes somehow massive cardboard pieces the most exciting game innovation for children we've seen for years.
Just before Christmas, the new Super Smash Bros game – Ultimate-arrives, and it's safe to say there will be a crazy amount of fun.
It's The Perfect Party Console
No console can beat Nintendo Switch for party play. Hardware wisely, the ability to divide pleasure-disadvantages between the whole family means you do not have to worry too much about spending a lot of money on accessories. Actually, it's the game that will tie everyone.
We looked at some of the best games to play with the family, as well as the best co-op and wow coupons, there are so many choices!
For those non-players out there, something like 1-2-Switch or Snipperclips is perfect because they are both very intuitive to figure out. Being able to solve brainteasers or quirky mini games with your mom never played before will surely be satisfying.
For the more conventional player there are always Arms or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Puyo Puyo Tetris was a big hit in my household last Christmas because Tetris is something that many have played at some time. Even if it's just on its phone.
It's Super Portable
I've hardly bothered to connect my Nintendo Switch to my TV. For the most part, I play it in Portable Mode so I can take it out with me. Thanks to the smoothness of portable mode, I can pull it out while visiting a friend or even a local bar or coffee station. It's great for the quick game sessions while on the move. A couple of times I have just taken it from one end of the house to the other and hoped to plug it on to a TV. It's perfect for when you're all comfortable on the couch snuggled up to a loved one and not disturbed about the big screen experience. Like the perfect mix between phone games and conventional games.
Portability also means that it's perfect if you want to pack easily before visiting your family. You only need the device and a charger. Aside from charging is even more of a breeze than you expect. The console simply requires a USB Type-A to Type C cable and they are super common now. You can charge it from a smartphone USB charger connected to a jack, portable USB port or just about anything that has a USB port. It does not charge as fast as via the power adapter, but it is nice to know that the option is available.
It's full of joy
The wonderful with almost all Nintendo consoles, but especially Switch is that they are only so much fun . The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have some amazing titles. Games that look amazingly realistic and focus on giving you a true and credible experience. Nintendo Switch, dock? No. The games here focus on fun first and do not really bother with realism. It's just the kind of thing we all need during the festive period. A little sweet escapism from an often tough world.
Running around the Super Mario Odyssey is a really happy experience. The type that will light the family room with smiles and happiness. Trips forward in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the last second will give memories as you will remember years later. Although it's a matter of "damnit, uncle Joe. You only won because you had a green must", you will shine on the tank.
It's the memories that mean Nintendo Switchen is certainly a pretty important part of your festive plans.
