The gym can be quite distracting. With slamming of weights and equipment parts, high music blowing through the speakers and ordinary old grunting, it can be challenging to focus on your workout. But with your phone just you can't just eliminate these distractions but make the most of your time there.
With just six apps, you can maximize your time in the gym so much of it is wasted. No longer standing and wondering what to do or be distracted by disturbances around you ̵
App 1: Motivational music
Most athletes finally understand that the music will be translated into a better passport. It not only exposes the distractions around you, but it is pumped and motivated for each set and activity.
However, finding the right songs can become a distraction in itself when you fumble through your music player looking for something that fits the activity. And while ready-made playlists can help, they limit your ability to discover new songs along the way, which will also help you get ready to lift or run.
Fit Radio does things differently with the help of DJ-created mixes for all different types of activities. There are blends to run outside, with stair climbs, weightlifting and more.
Fit Radio has music from over 40 different genres that are all perfectly blended in, so you have the energy you want for each exercise. Instead of limiting you to one or two genres that you already enjoy, you can be introduced to other music that also makes you move. In this way, when you train, you can expand your musical palette and do it well on each set.
Do you hate to do cardio? Take advantage of Cardio Coach where an instructor will drive you through a cardiovascular activity. You choose what type of activity you want to do, choose from a range of intensity levels, the duration, if you want to use them, recommend music or your own, and you're gone. For many, cardio can be one of the most terrible parts of the training, but this with this feature does not have to be.
Finally, Tempo Run is available. Based on the pace of your run, Fit Radio will give songs to keep you going. You choose a certain style of music (or several genres) and go. You can have the app automatically determine the rate you are running, or you can set it manually. Each mix is different and designed to keep you moving at the speed you want.
While the app is free to download, you must subscribe to their service to use the radio. During my testing I had a completely different experience on each platform. In the Android version, I was able to use the app without paying, utilizing all the features. If I decided to join the premium version, I could take some precautions. Specifically, I was able to sign up for the monthly subscription ($ 3.99 a month), with a free trial for seven days. If I wanted a 30-day free trial, then I would have to sign up for the annual $ 29.99 annual subscription.
On iOS, I couldn't use the app at all for free. Each feature I chose took me to the screen below, which requires me to sign up for three months for $ 27.99. I'm not sure this is an error because it would mean that I could not only use the app but the Android version was cheaper, giving me access to monthly subscriptions and a better price for the annual subscription. I still thought you should know about this difference before you enter.
When you Having your music is the next thing an activity, and this is where many people lose a lot of time. With many commercial gyms with 30+ machines and dumbbells with dumbbells, it can be difficult to find out what to do. Asking someone for help can be daunting and a coin reversing the value of the information. And this can unfortunately lead to very standing and half-efforts. Fortunately, Aaptiv is here to help.
With Aaptiv, you get access to a personal trainer in your ear. When you open the app, select the goals you want to achieve in the gym, then choose between thousands of workouts available based on how long you want to work out, the type of exercise you are looking for, the music, the trainer, and more. Afterwards, turn on your headphones and start the workout.
With Aaptiv, you no longer need to get lost in the gym. Just follow the personal trainer's direction and step towards your goals. It is not unpleasant to ask a stranger required.
While a personal trainer is useful to some, you may be able to explore different exercises when you become comfortable in the gym. Often the gym can be like a college: you come to draw and try different styles based on different people's advice. But as you evolve, you begin to come up with definite goals and create training plans that achieve them. Unfortunately, if you do not find the perfect personal trainer, the best way to achieve this is to create your own plan, and that is where JEFIT comes in.
JEFIT is designed around gym-goers and weightlifters. In addition to having training plans intended for specific skill levels, it has an extensive training database. Organized by a targeted body part, you can search for different ways to train a body group and read the instructions on how to perform the exercise. There is also a GIF to show you how to perform the training correctly. You can set personal goals for training and follow your progress. This way, if you want to add £ 50 to your bench press or £ 10 to your side tests, you can set it up and track your progress until you reach this goal.
You can create your own training session, which you can then refer to a later date. You can schedule the training so that you get a reminder of what you are planning to do. There is a rest timer so you do not take too long between sets. It's just the tip of the iceberg – this app can adapt in many ways as you go from a beginner to an advanced gym-goer that tracks your progress along the way.
The free version gives you access to the training database, training logs, some basic training plans and some other features. But for more advanced training reports, no ads, cloud insurance for your data, etc., you can join the Elite Elite subscription program for $ 6.99 per month (there's also an annual plan).
Now that you have a routine, I imagine you want to be stronger in these lifts. Whether you go into bodybuilding, powerlifting or any other style, the name of the game is progressive overload. Every time you train, you want to try to challenge yourself even more than your previous session, and the only way you can be sure that this is happening is to track your lifts. With the help of an app called Strong you can make this quite simple.
Strongly lets you log in to each set of each exercise and track it over several years. Want to know your best performance on the bench press? Strong can give you this information and much more. You can log on to hot sets to get an idea of the best warm-up routine for a particular day. And if you pay for the premium version (starting at $ 4.99 per month), you will find out how much time you have invested in warming up compared to the actual working methods. The app even has a timer so you know how long it took you to complete the training.
If you're not sure of the total weight, you can use its advanced plate calculator to easily add weight (even if you need to pay for the premium version). You can give a strong account of the different types of barges, which weigh differently. Their list of exercises is extensive and should have most of the workouts you perform. But if an exercise is not listed, you can also create it manually.
This app eliminates any need to carry a composite book to record your progress. By using Strong you can see your strength growth and (with premium service) your size growth as well. No longer do you have to guess what you raised last week – instead you can see your growth and use this information to make sure you continue to challenge yourself every day in the gym.
As some regular gym participants will tell you, what you eat is as important as how difficult you exercise. Eating the right kind of food and the right amount of them can be the difference between looking good and seeing the same. This includes the most important after the training meals that you can set and track using an app.
Lose it! Allows you to track your meals throughout the day. You set your weight goals in the app and lose it! will determine the calories need to reach that weight in a healthy way. With its premium service, you can even put in your workout to get a rough estimate of how many calories you burn.
If you subscribe to the Premium version (starting at $ 2, 50 a month) you get complete meal plans, so you do not have to decide what to eat. But if you choose to do it yourself, you can easily add food by scanning a barcode, entering the name or even taking a picture.
To train food, it is important to get food after training to maximize your profits. "Whether you bring food to the gym or buy a protein bar in the gym, you can rest assured that you are still within your assigned calories with the Lose It! App.
Technically, this last "app" is two separate apps – one for Android and One for iPhones With so many apps tracking your progress, your workout data can be spread and disorganized, limiting your growth, thanks to a Google-developed health app for Android and Apple-developed Health app for iOS (pre-installed on all iPhones)
Google Fit and Apple Health can sync data from various fitness and health related apps and present it in a lightweight st app Instead of having to find nutrition information in an app and the calories burned in another, you can simply sync your data and read it in Google Fit or Apple Health.
All apps on our list will be synchronized with either Google Fit or Apple Health. Google Fit also uses these data to give you Heart Points. These points were created in collaboration with the American Heart Association to reflect the recommended amount of physical activity to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Apple Health and Google Fit also make these data much easier to see by your doctor and your trainer. With your training routine and nutrition logged in, your doctor can see a correct picture of how you treat your body. A trainer can also benefit from this information because they can see how to structure your program to get maximum results.
Most of us don't want to spend the whole day at the gym. With these six apps, you don't need to. You can stay on track with the workout from entering the gym doors and ensuring that every second spent there will drive you to the fitness mode you have dreamed of.
