It's an exciting time to be an Apple fan. Monday saw not only a big announcement about new Apple services and subscriptions but also the official version of IOS 12.2. If you're a beta tester, you probably saw the development of 12.2 over the past two months. Well, get ready to do it all again – Apple just released the first developer beta for iOS 12.3 today, Wednesday, March 27.
The update adds a new icon for the TV app and includes Apple TV channels, introduced by Apple on stage earlier this week. Beta testers will notice Apple TV channels are a complete review of the TV app, including the ability to watch subscription services without having to leave the app.
The new iOS 12.3 developer beta will likely have bug fixes for problems in previous versions of iOS and possibly security patches for all known vulnerabilities. We will not know until both Apple publish the release notes for beta 1, and until we and other parties lower our teeth in the update.
To download and update your iPhone to iOS 12.3 dev beta 1, you must first be a registered developer with a valid configuration profile. If you have enabled "Automatic Updates" in iOS 12, you can have the software updated overnight. To install instantly, launch the Settings app, select "General" and then "Software Update." Touch "Download and Install" and then follow the on-screen instructions.
