It's an exciting time to be an Apple fan. Monday saw not only a big announcement about new Apple services and subscriptions but also the official version of IOS 12.2. If you're a beta tester, you probably saw the development of 12.2 over the past two months. Well, get ready to do it all over again – Apple is releasing the first developer beta for iOS 12.3 later today.
Thanks to 9to5Mac, we know that the big update is on its way. But we do not know exactly what in is the new software. Will it include a buggy News app patch in iOS 12.2? Possibly. Will it start laying the foundation for Apple TV channels coming in May? Perhaps.
The new iOS 12.3 developer work is likely to have bug fixes for problems in previous versions of iOS, and possibly security patches for all known vulnerabilities. We will not know until both Apple publishes the beta 1 editions and until we and other parties lower our teeth in the update.
To download and update your iPhone to iOS 12.3 dev beta 1 when it is released, you will first have to be a registered developer with a valid configuration profile. If you have enabled "Automatic Updates" in iOS 12, you can have the software updated overnight. To install instantly, launch the Settings app, select "General" and then "Software Update."
