Apple released updates forlast month, along with releases for and [Watch9454] Apple Watch . Apple's laptop is now running on WatchOS 6, which includes several new Apple apps like voice memos, new weather complications and new features like touching the screen with two fingers to make your watch talk the time.
WatchOS 6 comes pre-installed onthe latest watch in Apple's range that has an always on display and a built-in compass.
Before you can start using the new features in WatchOS 6, you must ($ 699 from Amazon) to which your watch is connected.on the iPhone
Update to WatchOS 6
When your phone has been updated, open the Watch app on your iPhone and go to General > Software Update . You need your Apple Watch charger and a strong Wi-Fi connection. Install the update by following the instructions, which can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour depending on your connection.
WatchOS 6 is currently available for Apple Watch Series 3 ($ 199 at Amazon) Series 4 and Series 5. The update will be available to Series 1 and Series 2 users later this year.
In the future, you can download and install updates directly on your watch by opening the Settings app and going to General > Software Update .
Delete Apple apps
Now you can remove Apple apps from your Apple Watch and cancel the app screen by getting rid of things you just don't use. Remove one of Apple's own apps by long pressing any app icon until they start jiggling and a small "X" appears on some app icons. Find an app you want to remove, press X and then confirm your decision.
If you need to reinstall an Apple app, use the App Store app on your Apple Watch (more on this in a minute).
Tracking women's health in the Health app and on Apple Watch has long been overdue, but it is finally here. There is a dedicated(you can remove it if you don't need it) that sends alerts and reminders to log your symptoms.
Prevent Hearing Impairment
After updating to WatchOS 6, you will find the new noise app. The noise app monitors the decibel level in your surroundings and will warn you if you are in an environment with a sound level of over 80 decibels (the threshold at which hearing damage can begin). The app also includes how much time you can be exposed to a specific decibel level during a given day before damage occurs. We have a great review of the Noise app
App Store comes to your wrist
Apple added a dedicated App Store app on WatchOS 6, which you can use to download apps directly to the clock – by bypassing your iPhone altogether. Currently, you need to install an app on your iPhone before you can install it on your watch.
Open the App Store app on your watch to see Apple's app suggestions, search for a specific app, or update all standalone apps.
Siri, what song is this?
Shazam is now built into your Apple Watch. You just need to ask Siri to identify a song, and a few seconds later you will see the artist and song name. You can access Siri by either pressing Digital Crown, lifting the wrist and talking to Siri or using the watch phrase "Hello, Siri" and asking "What song is this?" Once Siri has identified the song, you can add it to your Apple Music library.
There is now a calculator!
How did the Apple Watch go so long without its own calculator app? Not sure, but at least there is one now. You can make any standard calculations you would expect from a calculator, and there is even a Tip to help you figure out how much to leave a waiter or waitress.
