If you follow Arcade1Up messages, you can expect another arcade cabinet or maybe even a pinball machine. But the latest product, Arcade1Up Infinity Game Table, is a whole new category. It is a Wi-Fi connected coffee table with a touch screen that can play board games, view series and more.
The Infinity Game Table comes in two sizes, one with a 24-inch HD touch screen and one with a 32-inch HD touch screen. Even if it looks like a good size for a coffee table in your living room, you can remove the legs and place it on a table or other flat surface.
You can use Infinity Game Table to play board games such as Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland and Yahtzee. You can also build puzzles, play card games, color in coloring books, play mini-games, read comic books and more.
The company plans to implement an app store experience so you can add to the playlist in addition to what it originally contained. To accommodate multiple players, Infinity Table will dynamically zoom in on the game to give each player a personal perspective.
Infinity Game Table has Wi-Fi function and lets you play with anyone else in the US who owns one. This means you do not have to play board games in person; you can have your game in a socially remote way. To help with this, games can be saved and picked up where you left off later.
Of course, half the fun of board games is the delicate feel, and the Infinity Game Table includes features that help with immersion. As one Arcade1Up spokesman put it, if you hit the table in frustration when you lose, you will see that the game you are playing responds appropriately.
If you love board games, but do not have much space to play and store them, Infinity Game Table looks to solve the problem in a package that fits almost any home. You can not buy Infinity Game Table yet, but you can go to Arcade1Up’s website to sign up for early bird notifications and discounts. Arcade1Up suggested that it be priced within reach with its other arcade products.
