We are in the middle of a mini-boom for communication tools designed for enhanced reality heads, with the introduction of Avatar Chat and Mimesys for Magic Leap One and Spatial for HoloLens in recent months.
These apps have to a large extent been sailed to a platform or the other, until now. Canadian startup Arvizio has announced an update to its collaboration tool Mixed Reality Studio, which deals with the above limitation.
The update now enables corporate AR users to enable remote collaborations between HoloLens and Magic Leap One simultaneously (as well as via VR headsets).
The feature comes in version 3.0 of the software that Arvizio will release at the end of January . Arvizio's software enables multiple users, both on site and in remote locations, to see complex 3D models and point clouds. The program supports formats from Revit, LiDAR systems and most popular computer-based design (CAD) and BIM platforms for building information models (Designed) for companies in the architectural, engineering and construction industries as well as energy and mining. "Customers need a flexible platform that offers a common experience across several types of enhanced, Mixed and Virtual Realities, "said Jonathan Reeves, CEO of Arvizio, in a statement. "We are pleased to announce that MR Studio supports a growing number of AR, VR and MRI units for cross-platform, multi-user, collaborative experiences."
As part of the platform launch, Arvizio will offer a "Mixed Reality Innovators Pack" that includes MR Studio software and support up to five devices. The company will make live demonstrations of the experience of the Ontario Pavilion of Mobile World Congress Barcelona, which takes place February 25 to February 28.
In recent years, enhanced reality solutions for business companies have often focused on hands-free visualization of workflow management and remote video " see what i see "support for HUD-style smartglasses. Now, with the availability of magnified reality heads that can truly visualize 3D content, the business sector sector is developing ahead of our eyes.
Since Magic Leap One continues to expand its reach and a new model of HoloLens prepares for its launch, Arvizio is well positioned to capitalize on corporate companies that want to take the next step towards implementing AR in their business, no matter what platform these companies choose .
