The series Diablo a prisoner who came to define the genre goes mobile. Blizzard announced Diablo Immortal for iOS and Android at its annual Blizzcon event.
Diablo Immortal customizes the well-known top-down game for phones and tablets, using "tap-to-move" for progression and thumb-based characters for character capabilities. Classical Diablo Diablo classes such as Barbarian, Wizard, Monk and Demon Hunter are available and the story takes place between Diablo II and III III .
Blizzard calls the game's setup a "MMOARPG", as in the "Massively Multiplayer Online Action Role-Playing Game". (Say it three times quickly.) While former Diablo multiplayer has been limited to up to four, Immortal Gameplay video shows a dozen or more players in a single co-op jail on once. It could open the door for more lines in MMO style and of course a certain humongous loot falls.
Diablo Immortal is technical Blizzard's second mobile game, after Warcraft -themed ] Hearthstone card game launched on several platforms. But Immortal is made from the ground for mobile, in collaboration with the Chinese developer NetEase. Details about the revenue model are scarce, but a free-to-play title with purchases in the app seems like a safe bet.
