Can Excel tracks be changed? Yes, and it's easy to do. The process is similar to Track changes in Word, in addition to Excel, the altered cells illustrate in contrast to the changed words and sentences.
Two notes before we begin:
- Track changes do not work in spreadsheets that contain tables. To use track changes in these workbooks, select the table, click the Design tab, and then click Convert to Range .
- To search for edits from others, be sure to send the workbook in a shared place. 19659005] First, you need to add the track change buttons to your Ribbon menu, because some versions do not show this feature on the standard ribbon.
first Right-click anywhere on the tape menu and select Customize the tape .
2nd On Customize the Ribbon dialog select All commands from Select commands from .
3rd The adjacent Customize the tape: the drop-down menu should be set to Main tabs by default, which means that it shows the main tabs in the scroll list below. Click the + sign next to Review in the list and then click the New Group button below the list to add a new group to the review section.  4. Right-click on the line New Group to rename it and (if you want) add an icon. In this case we change the name of it Track Changes . (Excel will add the term "(Custom)" to the name, only in this list.) You can also click and drag another group line (or whatever is new name) to another position in Review List.
5th Finally, we select two commands from the command list on the left: Select changes and Accept / reject changes . Click the button Add to move each command to the group.
When the new group is added to the band:
1. Click Select changes command / button
2. Select the box that says Track changes during editing … and the box that says Select changes on the screen .
3rd Click OK .
Now any change made in this spreadsheet is changed and marked with a blue border and a small blue triangle (upper left corner) , which is displayed in the edited cells. If you have several reviewers, they have a different color.
Move the cursor over an edited cell to see a pop-up summary of the tracked changes plus the author, date and time of the change. Note;
When the spreadsheet has been circulated through all potential editors, it is time to accept or reject the proposed changes.
first Click Review at the top of the Ribbon menu and click the Accept / Reject changes button .
2nd Excel asks Save the workbook . Click OK .
3rd Excel marks the first cell that was edited on the spreadsheet and simultaneously displays Select changes to accept or reject the dialog.
4th All current changes are listed. Select the edited version you prefer (or choose the original version) from the list and click the Accept button. If none of the listed versions work, click the Reject button and the cursor moves to the next edited cell.
5th If the change is universal (as in this case, since all ampersands were changed to the word "and"), click the Accept All button. All selected changes are accepted simultaneously.
