had its first day on August 22 and unveiled some spectacular new photos, including from , Wonder Woman 1984 and . But now it’s time for the second part of the event, , and there is a new trailer, released September 4, hyping up the day.
The event is aimed at fans of DC Comics and has online panels, cosplay, fan art and series, as well as special events for children. The first day contained panels at set times – they were repeated, but if you missed the scheduled times, you missed the panels. Now the second part of the event, DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse, promises fans 100+ hours of programming, all on request, so fans can set their own schedules. But it’s still just a round-the-clock event, so tune in from 10am PT (1pm ET) on Saturday 12th September until the same time on Sunday 13th September.
What is DC FanDome?
A bit like Comic-Con, but only for DC. So no Avengers. (It’s Marvel.) But if you’re a fan of DC characters like Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, and Aquaman, you want to tune in. And this fandom event should go far beyond the big names. The August 22 event covered the entire DC world, from comic books to movies to TV shows and video games, and the September 12 event will feature new content in the same direction.
Unfortunately, the convention follows reports of mass redundancies at DC. About a third of the company’s editorial staff lost their jobs, according to The Hollywood Reporter, along with the majority of streaming service staff.as the parent company of Warner Bros. shifts focus to the newly launched .
What comes on September 12?
The event on September 12 is divided into five new areas. Go to the DC FanDome website to read the full list.
WatchVerse will probably be the most popular area the other day. Four different virtual theaters allow fans to watch new panels that were not seen on the first day, as well as longer versions of The Flash and Titans panels from August 22. Highlights include:
- An uncensored Q&A with the animated version of Harley Quinn.
- A supervillain’s panel of actors who have played villains from across the multiverse.
- A sneak peek at the second season of Batwoman, which airs on The CW.
- A panel where the stars of the CW’s Black Lightning celebrate the 1990s.
- A panel where the stars and producers of Doom Patrol discuss their show.
InsiderVerse will appeal to those who want to know what’s going on behind the camera and behind the scenes, and will feature facts about the new Batmobile, artists discussing how they broke into the comic book world and many panels on costumes worn by superheroes.
YouVerse celebrates DC’s fans and includes cosplay, fan art and even pets in costume.
FunVerse plunge into a world of games and activities, including theme park chalk information, trivia and an escape room game from The Joker.
KidsVerse is aimed at DC’s youngest fans. It includes crafts, karaoke and Lego activities.
Events in August
Here are highlights from August 22:
Matt Reeves, director of The Batman, shared much more about the film in a fantastic interview, andwhich looked damn good, even though the movie is only 30% shot at this point. Batman plays Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame, with Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman.
While the film is not scheduled to be released until, it is already about Gotham’s police department, with Reeves producing.
Wonder Woman: 1984
The Stars of the Wonder Woman sequel, including Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, joined director Patty Jenkins to talk about the film and introduce us to a.
This one is coming out.
Justice League: Snyder Cut
The DC moviecame out in 2017, but original director Zack Snyder resigned during the editing when his daughter died. Some fans were disappointed with the finished film, which was taken over by Joss Whedon and complained to see what Snyder would have put together if he had had free rein.
Snyder Cut is the movie that will be coming soonand the teaser trailer for DC FanDome , which will run for four hours. It’s out sometime in 2021, and Snyder promised fans outside the United States that they’re working on a way to release it globally.
The developer behind Batman: Arkham Origins unveiled its new game,, a co-op adventure starring Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Red Hood as they protect the city after Batman’s apparent death. They meet a villainous group called Owls Court and other members of the Dark Knights villainous gallery.
It is not in the same universe as the Arkham Games and will be released sometime in 2021.
The panel unveiled Barry Allen’s new suit, which was made by. Director and screenwriter Christina Hodson (who wrote and ) also confirmed that the speedster movie will see Flash travel through time to change DC Multiverse. It’s coming out sometime in 2022.
We also received tips that this opens up the possibility of returning to classic DC movies, with Danny Elfman’s Batman Theme in the background. Concept art also showed that Flash collaborated with– The Batman logo 1989 can be seen on his suit.
In a separate panel, Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti also said he wants to include more DC movie characters in future TV show intersections after Ezra Miller’s Flashin last year’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event.
The suicide squad
James Gunn, Suicide Squad. Idris Elba plays Bloodsport; wrestler-actor John Cena plays Peacemaker; and Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson plays Blackguard.
He also shared a new teaser consisting of some movies and glimpses behind the scenes of the girl.
Suicide Squad, about a crew of DC villains, will be released on August 6, 2021.
Gunn wrote and directed the first twomovies for Marvel, but drew on The Suicide Squad after . Producer Peter Safran has said that The Suicide Squad is to the original 2016 film , although it contains many recurring characters played by the same actor. The similarity of the titles is confusing, but the other film uses “The” in the title.
Suicide Squad video game from Rocksteady
Want more about Task Force X action? Rocksteady Studios, the British gaming company that created the popular video series Batman: Arkham, used the DC FanDome tofor the new Suicide Squad video game.
You will be able to play co-op with up to four players when this hits PS5, Xbox Series X and PC 2022.
Dwayne Johnson teased his long-developed Black Adam film and revealed that in addition to Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, we will see the Justice Society of America (JSA) debut in the film. Although no cast has been revealed, characters coming to the film will include Hawkman, Cyclone and Dr. Fate. More information is available on our sister site GameSpot.
TheThe panel gave only a hint of what to expect for the possible sequel to Aquaman, with director James Wan noting that the film will be “a little more serious, a little more relevant to the world we live in today.” The film is currently scheduled for release date 2022.
The FanDome panel revealed the title of the sequel November 4, 2022: Shazam: Fury of the Gods. The panel also included an enhanced look of Sinbad, and it’s hard to say if he’s actually part of the film or was just there to pump up the panel’s humor. An adaptation ofwas announced for Netflix last year, and the creator teased further details during a Saturday panel. Gaiman confirmed that work on Sandman for Netflix is continuing and it will be “somewhat looser, but still faithful” to the books. Gaiman said the pandemic has enabled more work on the script, along with additional tailored story to suit a different time period.
“What we do with Netflix says, ‘OK, it’s still going to start in 1916, but what’s happening in Sandman No. 1 – the point where the story begins – is not 1988, it’s now,” Gaiman said. More information about the Netflix adaptation can be found on our sister site GameSpot.

Titans season 3
Titans, the tent series for the DC Universe streaming service, had its third season teased during the DC FanDome – and this time it goes directly to Gotham City, reports GameSpot. Titan’s third season will see Jason Todd (Curran Walters) become Red Hood after leaving Robin’s identity.
The show will also feature Barbara Gordon, a former Batgirl who became police commissioner for Gotham City, and Dr. Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow. Casting for the latter two characters was not announced.
The release date for the third season is unclear, but it will be available on HBO Max.
New film calendar for 2020 and 2021 after coronavirus delays

Flash season 7
The Flash TV series is among the many whose previous season was shortened by the coronavirus pandemic, but a look at the seventh season of the Arrowverse show made its debut on Saturday. The teaser is taken from season 6 and leaves Iris West (Candice Patton) inside a mirror universe and faces a choice between surviving or going crazy.
