What if I missed the September 30 deadline?

The deadline for submitting your missing $ 500 incentive money was September 30, but you can still receive your payment. The IRS says it will begin issuing checks this month to those who have met the application deadline. However, if you missed the September 30 deadline, your check will be included in your 2020, 2021 tax return.

Do I qualify for the first incentive payment?

To be eligible, you must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or qualified “resident alien.” You must also have a valid social security number, you cannot claim to be dependent on another taxpayer and must have a adjusted gross income under $ 146,500 (household managers) or $ 198,000 (married couples apply jointly).
