Theaters are not doing well right now thanks to the global pandemic. Regal theaters are closed indefinitely throughout the United States, so it should come as no surprise that more and more movies are skipping the theater route altogether. Pixar̵7;s upcoming film, Soul, will do exactly that and go straight to Disney +. And good news, unlike Mulan, you do not have to spend extra.
Pixar’s latest film looks like another adventure and learning path into death and what makes a human life worth living. But do not confuse it too Coco or Inside out, because it takes a different pace than any of these movies.
We follow a high school teacher at the high school named Joe (expressed by Jamie Foxx), who dies before a life-changing opportunity. Of course not ready to go, he is trying to run from everything that comes next and is in the place where souls are created.
Joe tries to explain to a soul, expressed by Tina Fey, why life is worth living. Along the way, he discovers that he is not really dead.
Still, Soul looks like another in Pixar’s long line of thought-provoking items. And even if it was due to cinemas in November, that plan obviously does not work in our current climate.
Instead, Soul coming to Disney + on December 25, 2020 – yes, Christmas Day. Maybe everyone needs something healthy to look at during the holidays. The good news is unlike Mulan, you do not have to spend anything extra to watch Soul. A Disney + subscription is all you need.
