Visit the WHO Web site for the latest updates and information about the coronavirus pandemic.

You have made several trips to the store this week in hopes of finding toilet paper and disinfectant spray, but have only found empty shelves. You have even shopped online to see if you would be lucky, but to no avail. Stores quickly sell out supplies such as disinfectant sprays and wipes, as people refill to wait for quarantine due to the novel coronavirus . So how do you know when these products are back in? You set a warning with the store.

Or at least you try. Currently, very few retailers offer an option to set notifications when the products are back in stock. It may be that stores mostly sell these products personally, or just because the running of certain items has caused a temporary disruption to their regular deliveries and deliveries.

We could find some stores that let you know when things are back on the shelves – and many more that don't. Read on to set product alerts and get notifications in your email address.

Walmart

If a product, such as Lysol spray, is not available on Walmart.com, you will see a note on the page that says Not in stock . Click the button next to who says Get In-Stock Alert and enter your email address to be notified when Walmart receives a shipment.

Target

When Target runs out of a product on its website, you can press a button that says Notify me when it's back . Not every product will have that option, or at least that's what I found when checking. The Target help page says "Exceptions may apply to high demand or limited items", so the messaging feature may not include products such as toilet paper and disinfectants.

B&H

If you want to install a security camera or need a laptop to work from home, B&H still has storage. But if the security cam or laptop you want is in order, you can set a warning by clicking Request Stock Warning on the page and enter your email address. Then select Let Me Know .

Websites that help you find products in stock

A website called NowInStock.net lets you see which stores have stock available for immediate purchase or pre-order. The category is called Coronavirus Related Tracers and will display items such as hand sanitizer, household cleaning products, toilet paper, thermometers and more. While it seems right now that most of the options are out, the site's tracker updates every minute.

Another site, Supply Finder, checks inventory from Amazon, Target, and Walmart to help you find inventory items. You can see where you can find necessities such as toilet paper, hand sanitizer and soap, tissues, paper towels, cleaning towels, disposable gloves and more.
