When the virtual pizza is dreaded, users can see "baked" in front of them through flame effects. The AR experience also shows animated avocado and pineapple characters to the fun factor (and disgust those who prefer more traditional toppings ).
"When we decided to create New Pizza Chef with enhanced reality, we would create a more enriching u Experience for Our Customers One of the main priorities was to make the pictures as realistic as possible. We have also included a number of surprise and joy elements so that all pizza experiences can be even more fun. Imagine funny characters, stickers and surprise appearances, "said Nick Knight, CEO of Dominos Australia." While it will help customers choose between billions of possible variations, it will also be very fun. "
The app uses surface protection features in ARKit and ARCore to display 3D content in physical space. In addition, the app's developer has made content via the Unity engine.
" Google's ARCore and Apple's ARKit uses the camera of the camera to provide stable and advanced spatial awareness and an understanding of the real world around our customers. To let them see their dreamy pizza that dams directly in front of them and see from any angle, "said Gillespie. "Developed using the Unity Platform Engine engine, a motor that is more related to games than mobile retail, the new Pizza Chef offers high quality realism in its images and contains gaming elements to further engage customers."
Pizza is Like They Most fast food a pizza. While people can claim that they have their preferences, there is generally not much difference between Domino, Pizza Hut and Papa John's. So, with price, convenience and quality, it's relatively inseparable, mobile device bells and whistles can greatly affect a purchase decision.
Of course, an increased reality will be one of these differentiators. We have already seen Pizza Hut integrate enhanced reality in its delivery experience. And when it comes to visualizing the food, we have seen similar attempts through the regional burger chain Bareburger.
Finally, the entertainment and novelty of an AR experience like the New Pizza Chef could actually make a difference in the customer's choice between all the usual pizza options. There is no word when or if the feature will be available to US customers, but the regional experiment fits with Domino's long history of using unique technically driven marketing tactics in countries such as Japan and Australia before potentially rolling them out worldwide.
