Today is Giving Tuesday, an international day that promotes charity giving after Friday in Friday. And this year, Amazon makes it easy to donate to Toys for Tots with Alexa.
The basic feature is quite simple, just say "Alexa, donate to Toys for Tots." Alexa will recommend a gift from the charity list, and you confirm the purchase. Amazon takes over from there.
To make things even better, Amazon will for a limited time match your Tots donation. This means that you effectively donate a few toys to a few children in need. It is fantastic.
This is not the only thing that does for charity organizations. Its Smile program donates half a percent of the purchase price to a charity your choice when using the Amazon Smile site. While half a percent does not seem to be very much, it becomes quite a lot when you think about how much Amazon does on a single day. Now, if everyone would just use Smile instead of the "regular" Amazon site.
Anyway, the point is the same: Amazon, for all its mistakes, does a great job to make it easy to donate to charity. This is just one way.
