Apple HomePod faces increasingly fierce competition in the smart speaker market and begins with Amazon's new, similar Echo Studio. But also remember that the HomePod started at $ 349; this is your chance to get it for significantly less. If you want wonderful sound and already live in Apple's ecosystem, look no further.

Yes! The previous generation iPad 9.7 hung around at this price for a good part of 2019 – until the newer 10.2 model came to $ 329. Although the 128 GB model has routinely been on sale for $ 299, this is the first dip that we have seen yet for the 32 GB version. There is not a lot of storage space, but for many users it is enough.
Please note that you must be logged into your My Best Buy account to see this price, which is only good today (Nov 7). Of course, it will be back soon, almost certainly at Best Buy, but definitely at Target.

This is the lowest price to date on Amazon's child-friendly tablet, which includes a tough case (with tripod) and two years of worry-free warranty. You also get a year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, worth $ 36. The tablet comes with your choice of three fall colors: blue, pink and purple.
You can also get the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition Tablet for $ 90, which is $ 40 off the regular price. It is slightly faster and slightly bigger, but otherwise pretty much the same experience for your children.

Fossil Sport hit the stage about a year ago, providing oodles of features to the Wear OS watch for a reasonable $ 275. The specifications include NFC for Google Pay, GPS, 5 ATM water resistors, a heart rate monitor and an altimeter. This sale before Black Friday lowers the Sport (only light blue) to just $ 149, the best price we've seen yet.
Most of Arcade1Up's machines cost about $ 300. This one – which is a three-quarters version of the original – costs $ 170 when it's in your shopping cart. And it looks, sounds and plays just like the old arcade machines. Walmart also offers the Centipede edition for $ 180.

When Lenovo introduced the IdeaPad 330s last year, it started at $ 500. Now you can get a nice mid-range configuration – with a quad-core AMD processor, a 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM – for under $ 350. Provided with a nice 15.6-inch display, the 330's has thinner than regular frames and a aluminum cap. This is a great deal on a solid laptop at boot level. (Note, though, that it was $ 329 in the past, so look for a new sale if you're in no hurry.)

A 65-inch TV for $ 380? Seems like only yesterday that would have been considered a steal on a 55-inch model. It's an input model, to be sure, with no smarts built in; you must BYO Fire TV or Roku streamer. Thankfully, it has four HDMI inputs, so there's plenty of room for any equipment you might want to connect.
Are you curious about your origin story? Living the DNA test is quite extensive; it covers your overall family, mother line and father line. In addition, DNA matching is now also included in the family. (Note, however, that the same kit will be $ 10 less from November 18 to December 3.)
This head-to-head machine delivers 12 classic arcade games to your complexion, including half a dozen Street Fighter titles, Final Fight and Commando. And for a limited time, you also get $ 70 in Kohl's Cash, which is basically free money to spend on additional store purchases. (Note that it must be used by November 14.)
Although the product description seems to refer to the upright version of this unit, the model number is definitely for the cocktail table.
That's it for now, but come back often when we update this post based on new offers and availability. Meanwhile, here's everything else you need to know about this great shopping event.
What date is Black Friday 2019?
Black Friday always falls the day after Thanksgiving. This year it will take place on Friday 29 November.
When is Cyber Monday 2019?
It falls Monday after Black Friday – in this case, Monday, December 2.
When does Black Friday sales actually begin?
It varies from store to store, but expect to see lots of sales starting well before Thanksgiving. Some stores actually reveal the sale of "Black November" which extends throughout the month, while others will start their Black Friday events early. We publish all details when we receive them.
Why is it called "Black Friday"?
This is cross-border urban legend stuff. Some say Black Friday goes back to the early 1950s, when the stores would start the Christmas season with big sales. So big, in fact, that annual store profits would often tip into "the black" (which means no longer "in the red," which is the accounting benefit of losing money) when all the receipts were listed. Or: So big that traffic would be so snarky, the police called the day "Black Friday."

How to find "leaked" Black Friday ads
In the past, various Black Friday websites have been devoting themselves to revealing leaked newspaper circulars in the days and weeks before the big Thanksgiving sale. They are still there, but many of the big stores have chosen to "leak" the ads on their own websites and reveal the content of what will be sold to bargain hunters who like to plan ahead.
Last year, some stores shared these ads by the end of October, and there is no reason to think this year will be any different. As always, we will follow the Black Friday ads closely, share them as we find them, so bookmark this post and verify that CNET is correct for all relevant ad information.
Where can I find good deals in the meantime?
So glad you asked! Here are some resources for CNET deals that you should bookmark:
