Everything You Should Know About Samsung's Crazy, Innovative Galaxy Fold «Smartphones :: Gadget Hacks

After years of rumors and waiting, Samsung's first collapsible smartphone is here. While losing the title of the first collapsible phone to the Royole FlexPai, this is a much better design and a phone whose hardware and software helps carry the new form factor in the future. It's a bit wild, but it can be one of the most influential units this year.

Thinking of Samsung Galaxy Fold in the same way that Samsung Galaxy S10 is unfair. With this new form factor comes the growing pain, especially the software, which is currently not fully optimized for a flexible display (although Samsung worked with Google to ensure that Android would still be quite coherent). So at the beginning of Android, Galaxy Fold is a solid phone, but one designed more for first adopters than those who want to replace Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9 +.
