Fortnite season 7, week 9 challenges are now on us. This is the second to last week of this long and snowy seventh season of Battle Royale, and we were surprised to find that most of the obstacles you will face this week are new and quite difficult.
It seems that Epic Games isn not releasing the amazing Ice Storm Limited Time Event last week, which is great news if you like a bit of a challenge. Time will tell if week 10 will also end strongly, but at the moment, let's focus on one of the most fun and excellent challenges. Fortnite players will deal with this week – pop 10 golden balloons.
Fortnite season 7, week 9 challenges explained
There are a total of seven challenges to take on your own winnings and if you are curious about what the challenges are and the rewards, check the screenshot above. There are three challenges for everyone, including free players. At the same time, there are four challenges that are only for Battle Pass owners.
If you don't already have a passport for this season, you're probably better off saving your earned money for the eight season. Unfortunately, the biggest challenges this week are on the Battle Pass exclusive side of things. But if you are a free player, there are some extra Showtime challenges available this week that you should check out.
Fortnite pop 10 golden balloons challenge explained
Contrary to this guide being one of the most difficult challenges of the week, the other challenges, this one is pretty unique from what we have recently seen. You are looking for and popping 10 golden balloons on the map. These cannot be just some old balloons; they must be nice, sparkling gold.
There are also a total of 10 balloons, which is a fairly large number. While you can get some in each match, it will probably take a couple of matches to complete. Because of this, you want to complete this in any large team position available at Battle Royale at the moment. For us it is Team Rumble once again. This mode puts about 20 players on both teams against each other to see which team can get 100 kills first.
It is a fairly long position with a good window window in the beginning before the storm is completely closed. This gives you time to get in and pop as many gold balls as possible, and it always helps when you have fewer enemies to worry about and teammates to look at your back. So, take some friends who need this challenge too, and let's get started.
Fortnite golden balloons seats
For the most part, you can find the golden balloons across the entire Battle Royale map. In fact, there are actually much more than 10 of them to find. This is good because it means that you have many choices when it comes to where you can go, especially if the bus stops your landing zone. So far we have found about 20 or so golden balloons on the map and there is more.
The golden balloons seem to be located mainly in the designated areas on the map, at least most. There is usually only one balloon per site and it may take some time to find them. This is where we come in. Here are our recommendations for where to find and pop the 10 golden balloons in Fortnite .
Fortnite Golden Balloons Location: Wailing Woods
There are a lot of balloons in the eastern half of the Battle Royale map so that's where we recommend you go for this challenge. Let's start at the top of the map and go down the road. Most places have only one golden balloon, but Wailing Woods is the exception.
The first one can be found northeast of Wailing Woods, just past the forest. Its exact location on the Battle Royale network is right at the border of the I2 and J2 boxes. This golden balloon is at the top of the brick wall. Climb the ramps and stairs to the top and find it on top of the roof. You can either shoot it to snap it, or build a ramp up and hit with your shoulder.
The second gold balloon near Wailing Woods is just south-east of the first. It is also along the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea. It's actually in a place we needed to visit last week's big challenge guide – right on top of the big truck that will fall off the edge of the map.
Fortnite Golden Balloons Location: Tomat Temple
The next will enter the country to the Tomat Temple, located southwest of Wailing Woods and almost directly west of the previous site we just visited. When you get to the Tomato Temple, go to the north side of it, specifically the Northwest side.
When you get there, look for the little tower building seen on the screen above. The balloon is on top of that tower, so it can be difficult to reach it. We also recommend shooting this one as well. Now there's another golden balloon in this area, but it's not really close to any of the sites.
It is located between Tomat Temple, Wailing Woods, Lonely Lodge, Retail Row, and Dammig Divot. Found right from the above mentioned area which is southeast of the tom temple. Just south of the above mentioned area there are some tool towers. On top of one of them is the next gold balloon.
Fortnite Golden Balloons Location: Dusty Divot
As you can see, we accidentally shot it just as we grabbed the screen shot, but that's right where we sieves. Then we have to go to the Dusty Divot, just southwest of the former place we visited, in the middle of the Dusty Divot and its crater. This gold balloon can be found just south of "t" and "y" in Dusty on the map. There is a building here that has a balloon right on top of it.
Fortnite Golden Balloons Location: Salty Springs
It is difficult to see because it is right between the building below it and the big tree Continue south, but this time to the northwestern edge of Salty Springs. There is a last house on the edge of the town that has a wooden fence around it.
Fortnite Golden Balloons Location: Fatal Fields
Go to the west side of the house and fence, and you will find the next balloon on top of the fence. Continue further south to Fatal Fields. This one is really easy to spot because it is in the middle of the fields. Go to the center and you will find this golden balloon on top of the windmill.
Fortnite Golden Balloons Location: Desert
Now there is a ramp that makes it difficult to reach it. three golden balloons in total located in the desert on the southeastern part of the Battle Royale map. The first is in the southeastern part of the Fatal Fields balloon. There is a small oasis of varieties that is close to the border between grassy areas and the desert. There is a boat in the middle of the water that contains a chest and a balloon.
There is a second gold balloon in the desert almost directly east from here.
Fortnite Golden Balloons Location: Paradise Palms
The third and final balloon in the desert is near Paradise Palms, directly east and right near the edge of the ocean. There is a house here and the last gold balloon lies in a wagon west of the house in a field surrounded by a fence. Hit it or shoot it to end this challenge.
Fortnite pop 10 Golden Balloons reward
The reward for completing this challenge "Pop 10 Golden Balloons" is five fighting stars. It may not be much, but it is enough to guarantee a half level.
