It is widely known that Facebook allows advertisers to specifically target groups of people, but did you know that you can see which advertisers are actively targeting you you ? You can ̵1; and it can be remembered.
As part of Facebook's attempt to be more transparent, you can easily find out which advertisers are displaying ads using a contact list containing your information. This information is collected by the advertiser and then uploaded to Facebook as a way to control who the ads are showing.
Here's how to find that information both on the web and in the Facebook app.
On the web To find your ad settings on Facebook dot com you can click this link to go directly to it. But for future reference, here you will find the information in Facebook's menus.
First jump to the Settings menu. You can find it by clicking the small down arrow near your name and image in the top bar.
From there, click the Ads option.
Select "Advertisers you've interacted with," then look at "Who Added Their Contact List To Facebook".
That's what you want and the odds are that you can continue to click the "See more" button for a while . I had hundreds of advertisers on my list. Most of whom I have never heard of.
In Mobile Apps
the verb is different in Facebook's mobile apps, so you'll find it.
First open the menu (the three lines), then press "Settings and Privacy." From there, select Settings.
Scroll down to the Ads section and click on "Ad Settings."
Select "Advertisers you've interacted with" here and then see the second section-Advertisers who uploaded a contact list with your info. Press the "Show All" button to see the full list (and probably massive ).
As I said, my
had hundreds of over a thousand.
