Android users have asked Google to add a dark theme, or location, to the mobile platform for several years. With Android Oreo, Google released a dark mode that was enabled based on the background image you used. Google removed the feature and said it was accidentally released.
As ofis not only dark mode back but now there is a manual way of switching it on request.
Outside view, why would you like to use a dark mode on your Android device? According to Google,It turns out that all this blank white space that Google (and Apple) has used in recent years uses more power, which in turn drains the battery. A darker interface requires less power and is less stressful on your battery.
To switch to dark mode on Android Pie, open the app Settings and select Display . Then press Advanced and scroll down until you find Device Item ; tap it, followed by Dark .
That's all there is. Now that you look at your app box or the Quick Setup Card (swept down from the top of the screen) it will be in dark mode.
