In the evening, or after the baby has gone down for a nap, a loud answer from your Google Home Hub speaker may interfere with peace. However, you can have Google Home Hub ($ 129 at Walmart) respond to your quieter during certain parts of the day automatically.
This wiping function, called night mode, can be useful when you need to keep the volume down. Here's how to turn on and use it.
Set night mode
To close your Google Home homepage, open the Google homepage and scroll down the homepage to find your speaker. Press it and then press the gear icon at the top right. Then press Night mode and switch to Enable night mode .
A schedule will appear after the switch has been switched. Press to select the days and times you need a quieter hub. Then go down to the bottom of the screen and drag the volume to the left to adjust how quiet you want the hub to be. These settings work for all Google Home speakers.
You can also turn off messages from your home hub during your scheduled quiet times. From Night mode screen go down to Do not disturb and switch it on.
When enabled, reminders, broadcast messages and other types of messages will not be notified via hub. If you need to keep track of reminders, you may want to check your Google Calendar app on your phone instead.
Alarms and timers will still go off, even in Do Not Disturb mode, be careful. However, they will be quieter if you have Night mode enabled.
