Your graphics card is the heart and soul of your game PC – the biggest determinant of graphic fidelity and performance that you see on the screen. If you're willing to tink a bit, you can shoot your graphics card a bit longer than its out-of-the-box specifications by overclocking it.

Overclocking your graphics card is similar to overclocking of your CPU, albeit a little bit easier: you'll slowly hit the graphics card's core frequency, test it for stability with a benchmarking tool every time you press it a little longer (all while it's going to be hot).

If you have one of Nvidia's latest RTX cards, the software we recommend in this guide, the new "Nvidia Scanner" can automatically overclock the feature that can bypass a lot of the process. We've used it earlier and it's pretty decent for a click shop, but it can still be worth checking over manually for maximum boost.
