Pointing to your iPhone screen to retrieve an incoming call can be annoying when your hands are wet or dirty. It may even fail to register and cause you to miss your call. However, if you have a jailbroken iPhone, you can get rid of this problem, thanks to a free tweak that lets you retrieve calls without having to interact with the phone screen.
You can enable your iPhone's auto-answer feature (it has existed since iOS 11) to answer hands-free phone calls, but it is time-based and will respond no matter what. Automatically responding calls from sketchy sources that telemarketers are less than ideal. So if you want to achieve a good medium between convenience and privacy, you should definitely give Julio Verne s "RaisetoAnswer (iOS 11)" tweak a try.
As the name suggests, RaiseToAnswer (iOS 11) works on jailbroken iPhones running iOS 11. If you've recently jailbroken your device on iOS 12, don't worry, but tweak will even work on this firmware without any problems. We have tested it and it worked smoothly. Best of all, tweak works for both incoming regular phone calls and FaceTime audio calls.
Step 1: Install Verne Repo
RaiseToAnswer (iOS 11) is not available in any of Cydia or Sileo from get -go, so you need to install an external repo to download it. Basically, just add julioverne.github.io to your "Sources" list for either app. That being said, all repos you add to Cydia will not automatically be sent to Sileo and vice versa.
Step 2: Install RaiseToAnswer (iOS11)
With Verne repo installed, open either Cydia or Sileo, type "RaiseToAnswer" into the search field of the "Search" tab and be sure to select "RaiseToAnswer (iOS 11)" , because other versions do not work on your iPhone. Click on "Install" (Cydia) or "Get" (Sileo) on the following page to continue.
Select either "Confirm" (Cydia) or swipe up from the bottom of the "Queue" card and press "Confirm" next to it (Sileo). Wait a moment or two for it to be installed, then press "Restart SpringBoard" to revive your iPhone and wrap things up.
RaiseToAnswer is enabled as soon as your iPhone resprings – there is no access page for access and no switches to switch on or off. All you have to do is raise your handset and place it against the ear to automatically retrieve incoming phone calls.
We tested tweak on a jailbroken iPhone SE on iOS 11.2.1, as well as an iPhone 8 and X on respectively iOS 12 and 12.1.1 and found that tweak worked perfectly. In addition, you can still respond with a finger on the screen if you want, it does not replace that feature.
Please note that you must uninstall RaiseToAnswer because of its status as a hidden system adjustment. tweak completely if you ever want to turn off its gesture-based response feature. For more information on uninstalling tweaks, please see the guides below.
