How to choose between Apple Watch Series 6, SE and older models

Apple has announced two new smartwatches: Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE. Usually, each new Apple Watch goes to the top of the company’s range, which makes the older ones a little cheaper as a result, but this year’s cadence is different. The new Apple Watch SE looks very much like the new $ 399 series 6, but it lacks some of its highlights to reach a lower $ 279 price.

So which one should you buy, and how do these smartwatches compare to each other? Are you going to run for Series 6 over SE? How about Series 5 which came out last year? And do you really miss a lot if you only get the cheapest Series 3 watch? It will be complicated to deepen the differences, so we will spell out the specifications below to make your purchasing decision a little clearer.

Apple has a comprehensive look at all the specs for each model here, but if you just want a quick look at the specs, check out the table below. And just to note: we have not used Series 6 or Apple Watch SE yet, so do not let these specifications just guide you; Figures do not always tell you everything you need to know about technology.
