While we wait patiently for a system-wide dark theme, Google has given us the next best thing. The majority of the developed apps in Google now have a dark mode, so you can connect the feature yourself.
Google Play Games is a hub for almost all Android games. With the exception of titles like Fortnite that are not on the Play Store, the app provides easy access to any game on your device when viewing your rankings and achievements within that game. You can also discover new titles or record your game. And now you can do all this while enjoying the battery savings that come with dark mode.
Step 1: Install the latest version of Google Play Games
In addition to those who use their own ROM, rooted devices and unencrypted devices, Google Play Games will be pre-installed on all Android phones. But without updates, it may not be the latest version of the app that you need to access dark mode. Use the link below to download its Play Store page and select "Update" to get the latest version.
Step 2: Enable dark mode
Enable dark mode, open Google Play Games. Select the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of your monitor and select "Settings". Select the shift next to "Dark theme" to activate it, and the app will take a new look.
The colors of the text and background should flip with the background Color now dark gray and the text now white.
