The Google Phone app is one of the best dialers for Android today, especially with all the unique and exciting features it includes in the table. Unfortunately, without having a Pixel phone, you cannot download the app officially, which means that a modified version is your only option. However, this version of Google Phone lacks any key features, such as spam protection and business search.
To get the most core Pixel phones features, you have a special frame that lets you access those features in the first place. There is good news, but there is a method where you can achieve this on a rooted Android phone! Using the Google Dialer Framework The Magic module of the developer TheJulianJES lets you download and install the Google Phone app directly from the Play Store, and the app works just like you had a Pixel.
To get things started, go into the Magic app, press the menu button on the left and then go to "Downloads." Enter the "google dialer framework" in the search bar, and you will find the only module we need for this to work. Tap the download arrow to the right and then click "Install". It should be a quick installation, so when you are done, press the "Reboot" button and then wait for the system to restart.
When the system is backed up from restart, go to Play Store and search for "google phone", then tap the appropriate listing to view the main page of the app. Continue installing the app as you normally would, but don't open the app yet when it stops installing.
If desired, scroll down to the "Become a Beta Tester" section and press the "Join Now" button. This is completely voluntary, but it ensures that you can always be on top of the latest updates from Google before they go public. This is especially useful for testing new Google Phone features on your smartphone without Pixel!
Before you open the app, enable all the appropriate permissions required for the app to work properly. Open your system settings, go to "Apps and Messages" (or the location where you control app permissions), find the "Phone" app (if you have two now, look for it with the blue icon shown below) and then open it main app info page. This should be listed as a newly opened app in newer versions of Android, making it easy to find the app you're looking for.
From the main info screen for Google's phone app, click "Permit" and then continue to enable them all after one. The Dialer app requires many permissions to use many features, especially the location of the "Nearby Places" feature. Now press the back button once, scroll down and press "Change system settings" and then enable "Allow modifying system settings" on the next screen. This allows the app to set ringtones and make other system-related changes.
If you want to tap phone numbers and have them opened in the Google Phone app from now (among other shortcuts), you can also set up Google Phone as standard phone app on many devices.
Open this Settings app and tap the search bar at the top. Enter "standard apps", then press the top result and select "Phone app" on the next screen. From there, select the Google Phone app and it will be your default call manager. Note that this setting is not available on all Android skins.
Note: The reason why this is optional is that it can break the function of the system dialer itself when sending or receiving calls. If you begin to notice these issues, enter the default app to the one that came with your system and continue to use the Google Phone app as usual. This makes it possible to make calls through the regular system dialer in the background while using the new phone app.
Now go to your appbox and open the "Phone" app from Google. You will notice that the app works just as it should and many of the same Pixel functions are also available. Press the menu with three points at the top right, go to "Settings" and then "Dial-up ID and Spam". Both options should be enabled and ready to go, which is excellent! If not, continue and activate them now.
Touch the back arrow, go to "Nearby Places" and make sure all options here are enabled as well. Make sure your Google Account is selected and your location settings are enabled. Press the back arrow twice to return to the main screen and enter any company name that you want to find in the search bar at the top of the screen. You should then see a list of nearby pop-up sites, and when you tap a listing, it will dial that number for you immediately. Simple!
