Netflix is one of the most expensive video streaming services that costs as much as $ 16 per month. That equates to about $ 190 a year, which is not a chump change. You can do a lot with that money, including saving it for a rainy day or buying a new smartphone, just to name a few.

Fortunately, you can! With a little time, effort and creativity, you do not have to spend a dime to watch the latest Netflix shows and movies. In this short guide, we will show you exactly how to get Netflix for free. Let’s start.
Get a free Netflix trial. Then another. And another…
Sure, this is obvious, but there’s more to it than meets the eye. Netflix offers a free one-month trial period, so you can test the service before you decide to share your money. All you have to do is visit the Netflix website and sign up with your email address and credit card. When the free trial period expires, you will be automatically charged for the plan you selected when you registered.
The trick here is to cancel your membership before the free trial period ends and then wait for a new one. Netflix is known for offering its customers a second free trial period via email a few months after the first one ends, although this does not apply to everyone. In addition, if you sign up for the service approximately one year after the end of your first free trial period, there is a good chance that you will not be charged for the first month.
I got three free Netflix trials in just over a year.
I speak from experience here: I have used three free trials so far. The first when I signed up for the service for the first time and the second a few months later, thanks to an email sent to me by Netflix. I got the third one about a year after I originally signed up for Netflix if I remember correctly. I wanted to subscribe and pay the monthly fee right away, but I got a new free trial for whatever reason. Thanks for that, Netflix!
Unfortunately, this method will only give you a maximum of three months of Netflix for free in the first year or so, and only if you are lucky. To get more, you need multiple email addresses and credit cards. When you use a new payment method and email address, you can get a free Netflix month. So you can use your first and then your father, mother, brother … you get the picture. This means you can not watch Netflix for free forever, but it is better than nothing. And if you can get several free trials for each account you sign up with, you can save a lot of money. You are welcome!
Sharing is caring
To get Netflix for free for an extended period of time without having to sign up for a free trial period each month, you need to be super nice to friends and family who are already paying for the service. Two of Netflix’s three subscription plans enable streaming on multiple devices simultaneously. You can also create separate profiles that allow you to create your own list of movies and TV shows you want to watch, set language settings, and get personalized recommendations.
Here’s the plan: all you have to do is ask one of your friends or family members to log in with your Netflix account login information. Once you have done that, create your own profile and start binge-watching for free. It’s not the easiest thing to pull out, but it can be done.
Unfortunately, you cannot assign a different password to each profile, which means that the owner of the Netflix account will be able to see exactly what you’re watching. If it includes movies or TV shows that you are not exactly proud of, you can delete your Netflix history for peace of mind – here’s how to do it.
Take advantage of free Netflix offers from operators, ISPs …
Some mobile carriers offer free Netflix access to their customers. Yes, I know, this method of getting free Netflix technically is not free because you have to sign up for one of the carriers’ plans, but it’s a good option if you’re already planning to do so.
You can get Netflix for free on eligible plans from T-Mobile, which includes Magenta and T-Mobile One Plus. Terms apply, however, with one of them being that you need two or more lines in your account to get Netflix for free. MVNO operator USMobile also offers free Netflix to customers who sign up for three or more unlimited lines
We have seen similar offers from operators outside the US as well. In the UK, O2 previously offered free Netflix to its subscribers, as did Vodafone. Airtel did the same in India.
Offers like these are changing fast, so we may see more of them somewhere along the line. We will certainly update this post as it happens. And if we have missed any major, please let us know in the comments.
Bonus tip: Try competing streaming services
Netflix is the largest and probably the best video streaming service out there, but it is not the only one. To save money, you can try competing services including HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu, all of which offer free trial versions.
Each of these streaming services offers lots of great content. For example, Amazon’s Prime Video has fantastic original series including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Boys and Homecoming. You can find hit TV shows like Game of Thrones, Friends and The Sopranos on HBO Max, while Hulu is known for releasing new episodes of some of the most popular shows about a day after they aired on TV.
Switching from one streaming service to another, taking advantage of free trial versions when available, may be a better option than just focusing on Netflix.
There you have it, folks – you can get Netflix for free.
I would also like to add that although we all like to save money, consider paying for the service if you like it and can afford it. Netflix uses some of the money to create new programs and movies for its customers, so if everyone stopped paying a monthly subscription, there would be no new content to look forward to in the future.
