For some reason, we as humans have this two-year ritual where we change all the bells around us. Fortunately, with most of our clocks connected to the Internet, it's hard to change time manually.
However, it never hurts your gadget to change the time.
Why it's important to make sure the time is right
Your internal watch still needs a week or so to adjust, but your phone or computer watch has probably started changing the wall clock that you've had in your home or office . You do not want to get your alarm off at the wrong time, and you do not want to rush to a meeting that does not start another hour.
How to adjust for DST on Windows
On your Windows device, open the Settings app.
Then select "Time and Language".
Finally, make sure the power button next to "Adjust Auto Summer Time" turns on. It is!
How to adjust for DST on macOS
On your MacBook or iMac, open the System Settings app. Select "Date and Time".
Make sure that "Set time zone automatically with current location" is selected.
How to adjust for DST on iOS
On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app. Then select "General."
Next, open "Date and Time".
Make sure the power switch next to "Auto Set" is turned on.
If you use an Apple Watch, it will automatically adjust according to your iPhone.

On your Android smartphone or tablet, open the Settings app. Open "System."
Then open "Date and Time".
Make sure the switches next to "Auto Date and Time" and "Auto Time Zone" are selected.
If you are using one of Samsung's phones, the setup menus are marked slightly differently. Open the Settings app, then roll down and select "General Manager."
Touch "Date and Time" and make sure the switch next to "Auto Date and Time" is highlighted.

On your Chromebook or Chromebox, open the Settings app. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Advanced".
Under "Date and Time" select "Time Zone".
Check that the bubble next to "Enter automatically" is highlighted.

On your Xbox One, open the Settings app.
Select "System" and then select "Time".
Check that the box next to "Automatic Daylight Adjustment" is highlighted.

On your PS4, open the Settings app.
Scroll down and select "Date and Time".
Check that the box next to "Adjust summer light automatically" is selected.
How to adjust for DST on Apple TV
On your Apple TV, open the Settings app. Select "General" and select "Enter automatically" under "Date and time."
If you do not already have it, you must enable location services on the next screen so that Apple TV knows your current time zone.
Then you're all done! Your Apple TV will change the time automatically.

On your Roku-streaming device or smart TV, open the Settings menu.
Then select "System" and "About".
Click on "Time Zone".

Most routers also update their watches automatically, so you should not log in to the router's management screen.
Smartwatches, hybrid watches and training bands customize their time based on your smartphone, so you'll wake up and have time adjusted for you. Again you may be able to manually set the time from your watch companion app, but you should not need.
Amazon's cool new connected microwave does not release until November 14, so we have to wait for spring to see how it manages time changes. Probably it will only get the new time from your Internet router.
