You work on your iPhone or play a great game when you get a notification. You take too long to look up from your business so before you get the chance to see what's happening, sign up is gone. Persistent messages will not disappear as you default in iOS 11 and iOS 12, giving you as long as you need to check them. Here's how to set them up.
While persistent notification banners first made a splash in iOS 11, it has changed slightly in iOS 12 and above. The basic feature is still the same, so your notifications will not disappear until you reject them or leave an app, but it's doing a bit different banner alerts.
Enable Permanent Banner Ads
The best way to try this new feature is to go to the "Notifications" menu in your Apple Settings app. From here you can see a list of all apps that send messages. Tap an application's name to explore its notification options further.
Whether you're on iOS 11 or use iOS 12 or higher, make sure "Allow Messages "are enabled as well as" Banners "in the section Alert . Then, if you're on iOS 11, tap "Persistent" under Show as Banners change. For iOS 12 and higher, press "Banner Style" and then select "Persistent" so that banners no longer go anymore.
Use Permanent Banner Messages
Now you just have to wait for an incoming alert to try out the new persistent messages. They behave in the same way as banner notifications previously worked, but with an exception: they do not automatically disappear so you can take the time to act on them without worrying about the banner getting lost.
If you press your home button, release Siri, lock the screen or leave the app differently as You used when the warning came in, the banner will still disappear. Apart from that, the only thing that will make the banner go away is if you interact with the message in any way. For example, for an incoming iMessage, you can swipe up to reject it, swipe down or use 3D Touch to reply or tap to open the message.
Keeping alerts ensures that you do not miss a notification on your iPhone and stay up to date on what's happening in your world. With that said, even if you actually brush out a permanent notification, you can always proceed to the notification center to capture any missed messages, alerts or reminders. IOS 12 ensures that your messages are clean and organized, thanks to the new grouping system.
