Compared to completely unbound prisons, semi-unbound methods like Chimera for iOS 12 have a major handicap: you have to activate the jail each time your iPhone is shut down or booted if. As daunting as it may seem, it's still fairly easy to kick start the fashion and restore your tweaks.
When you restart your semi-tethered jailbroken iPhone, it goes back to its original, un-modded state. While this makes Sileo and all the tweaks you have installed unusable, they are not uninstalled. So there's no need to jailbreak your iPhone again ̵1; you just have to re-enable it to get all your mods up and running again.
Restart with a Semi-Tethered Jailbreak
Remember this should work whether you downloaded Chimera with Cydia Impactor or downloaded it from Safari or another browser. However, if you did the former, you will have to reinstall the jailbreak tool again as they expire every seven days if you are not an Apple developer.
Secondly, it is important to note that depending on your device and how many adjustments you have, it may take more than one attempt to restore your jailbreak. During tests done on an iPad 6 on 12.4 and an iPhone X on 12.1.2, it only took one attempt to start the mode for the former … but at least tries a dozen for the latter. So be patient and repeat the process described below if it doesn't bite the first time.
Finally, we recommend a battery level higher than 50%, as it may take several minutes to complete. If the device dies during the jailbreaking process, you may be forced to restore and update to the latest firmware and lose your jailbreak completely if something goes wrong.
Step 1: Open Chimera
To reactivate your iPhone's jailbreak, first kill all Internet connections and activate aircraft mode. From there, open Chimera from your home page and then press the "Jailbreak" button in the middle. Remember that your iPhone's screen will turn black during the process and only show a circular loading icon, so give it some time for respring.
Step 2: Open Sileo & check for Jailbreak
About Things went smoothly, you can use some mods like AutoUnlockX and HideBarX will be running again. To further verify your jailbreak, be sure to open Sileo and check for full functionality.
Again, if you respring and your Sileo tweaks still don't work, just repeat these steps again. It may take several attempts, but you will eventually get it.
