According to Hootsuite, Instagram has over 1billion users every month and the number of people using video increases by 80% every year. While it is easy to capture a screenshot or save a single photo, it is a little more difficult to save video clips from the platform, but not impossible. InstantSave by Gramblast is a tool for downloading Instagram media in a web browser. As you will probably expect, the process is quite simple. Copy the link to the public Instagram post, click Download Gram and you will soon download an MP4 file. As with other mentioned services, you cannot download media from private links, even if you follow this account.
IFTTT automates the entire archiving process. First, however, you must configure both Dropbox and IFTTT accounts. Once registered for both, select S ave your Instagram videos to a Dropbox folder option on the IFTTT website. Then, you must authorize IFTTT to access your Instagram and Dropbox accounts. You will be able to select which videos are saved to the associated Dropbox account. You can create specific triggers to save videos you particularly liked, or videos you've uploaded to Instagram. The videos are backed up to Dropbox as MP4 files.
Savefromweb not only lets you download videos from Instagram, but also albums, photos, profile photos and stories. All you need is the URL from Instagram. Copy and paste the URL directly to the site and tap download. You will then be directed to a screen that prompts you to either "download" or "return to home". Once downloaded, the file is automatically saved in your download folder on your computer.
With this Android app you can download photos and videos, plus it lets you copy tags from Instagram. To use the app, copy the video URL into the Instagram app and then paste it into the Video Downloader app. It will download the video and you can share the video or repost it.
InstaSave is a great mobile option for Android users. When browsing Instagram, tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the video you want to save. Then select the copy address from the resulting menu and open InstaSave. The video will then appear in your feed. Press the down arrow below the latest video and select Save – all your saved videos and photos are displayed in this InstaSave stream. You can also easily delete videos that have then lost their luster directly from InstaSave.
Previously Insta Save, this app has been around for a while. As the new name says, you can quickly download images and videos and then repost them on Instagram. You can search for content directly in the app by entering a user name.
