With Gmail, you can now write an email and schedule a broadcast time. Plan an email for later, and it will go out on the specific date and click you choose. It is particularly advisable to respond to emails outside opening hours.
Google added this feature in April 2019. E-mail scheduling previously required a third party extension such as Boomerang. It is now built into both Gmail's website and the Gmail app. You can have up to 100 scheduled emails at a time.
How to schedule an email on the desktop
Write Gmail regularly on the Gmail site in your desktop browser. Instead of clicking on the regular Send button, click the down arrow to the right of Send and then click "Schedule Send."
Tell Gmail to send the email. You can choose a time as "tomorrow morning" or give a custom date and time.
You can even schedule an email for a few years out. Maybe you want to send a message to your future self some years from now! Gmail lets you schedule emails until 2068. If Gmail still stays in 48 years and Google hasn't changed how this feature works, Gmail will send the email to your desired recipient, provided they still have that email address .
How to schedule an email on iPhone or Android
In the Gmail app for iPhone or Android, compose your email normally. Instead of tapping the "Send" button, press the menu button at the top right of the screen and then tap "Schedule Send".
Select Date and Time you want Gmail to send the email. As on the desktop, you can choose an option like "tomorrow tomorrow" or choose a specific date and date.

Microsoft Outlook only sends scheduled email messages when you have the Outlook writing application open. Gmail is smarter. It sends your scheduled emails when you selected even if you don't have the Gmail site or app open.
