How to stop incoming calls from taking over your iPhone's entire screen «iOS & iPhone :: Gadget Hacks

Incoming phone calls and FaceTimes, whether you want to answer them or not, take over the entire iPhone screen – no matter what you're in the middle of doing device right now. You can surf the web, play a game or chat on social media. It does not matter, you are interrupted. But you don't have to deal with it anymore.

If you have an imprisoned iPhone, there is a tweak you can buy right now to get rid of the screen taking from calls once and for all. It's called CallBar XS, created by Elias Limneos and it adds a simple call bar interface to iOS that takes less than a fifth of your iPhone's screen space, so you can multitask during incoming calls. The bar is a less intrusive and distracting experience, and it lets you easily pick up where you left off when answering or hiding the conversation.

While CallBar XS costs $ 3.99, its features go a long way toward improving your iPhone experience, which outweighs its price. In addition, the tweak is extremely easy to access and interact with after you purchase it, which we will show you in more detail below.

Step 1
: Install CallBar XS

To get started, open either Cydia or Sileo and press the "Search" tab. From there, enter "collection field xs" in the search field and then click on tweak as it appears exactly in the results field. Now click on "Install" (Cydia) or "Download" (Sileo) and follow the instructions to proceed with the installation.

Step 2: Buy CallBar XS

After you have respringing you will immediately receive a toast message on your home screen asking you to activate your CallBar XS license, then press "OK" and open the Settings app. Once inside, scroll down and select "CallBar X" to enter its preferences.

You must now purchase a CallBar XS license to activate the function. Click "Buy CallBar XS" to proceed with the purchase. When you are done, you will automatically be transferred to a PayPal page, enter your login details and follow the instructions to pay for the license.

Once a successful payment has been made, you will come to a page that shows your payment details, along with your unique transaction ID. This ID is very important, as you will need it for future verification in case you need to re-install the tweak for any reason, so save a copy of this page by taking a screenshot of it on your iPhone to store it in your iPhone Photos app.

Note that earlier versions of CallBar purchased within Cydia itself may does not apply to CallBar XS, so you have to buy a new license completely to use tweak. However, if you purchased CallBar X for iOS 11 using the method above, you will receive a 50% discount by entering the transaction ID and email address associated with the purchase, as stated on the tweaks website.

Step 3: Activate CallBar XS

After completing the payment, you can now access CallBar X in full, so access the settings highlighted in the second step and press the selector next to "Activate "to turn the tweak on. From there, you are greeted with a variety of features that you can activate, from setting the call bar at the top or bottom of the screen to using tweak for FaceTime calls – and so much more.

In addition to these settings, CallBar XS lets you set a custom theme for a more personal look by to press "Global Display Style." There you can choose from a number of themes like "Concept 13 Dark Glass", "Concept 13 Solid White", "Solid Black", "Concept X (Curved)" and "Concept X (Flat)", just to name a few.

Just keep in mind that although you can freely set both the light and dark themes so that they appear at the top and bottom of the screen, the two Concept X themes can only be set at the bottom.

CallBar XS also gives you options to immediately access your call bar adjustment by performing various gestures on your iPhone's status bar. To do so, click on "Activation Methods" from tweak & # 39; s Settings and click on any or all three switches to allow you to open CallBar XS either by double-clicking or swiping left or right in the status field.

Whatever options you set, CallBar XS applies them directly without having to respring your device, so you can try every setting on the fly and tweak it until the tweak works exactly how you want it.

Step 4: Enjoy CallBar XS

With CallBar XS enabled and set according to your preferences, all incoming and outgoing (if enabled) phone calls will appear as a small, discreet call bar that you can tap to expand further for more options, such as activating the speaker function or pulling up the keypad.

If you receive an incoming call while doing something important, pull up on the bar to hide it, which will turn your status bar green indicating that a call is still trying to get through you. You can tap that bar to bring up the call bar again. If you are playing a game or watching something in landscape mode, you should note that the conversation bar is locked in portrait mode, so it will be sideways if you are in landscape orientation.

Tweak works much in the same way for FaceTime Audio and Video, where it later has extra windows on both sides to show videos of you and your contact. And if the video call is too small, double-tap the call bar to activate full-screen mode to see your contact more clearly.
