How to watch Premier League games in the USA today without cable



If you blinked, you may have missed the Premier League off-season. The coronavirus Outbreaks caused a delay in the English football season, which suspended games in the spring and did not end until the end of July. Liverpool won their first title in 30 years and will start their title defense on Saturday 12 September when the Premier League season 2020-21 begins.

Sports fans in the US can watch Premier League games live on NBC, NBCSN, USA Network and NBC’s new streaming service, Peacock. Most matches are on NBCSN or Peacock, with occasional matches shown on Saturday afternoon on NBC. Keep reading to see your options for watching English football this season.

Which teams are the favorites this season?

There are four heavy favorites. Manchester City finished second to Liverpool last season and open as favorites to win the 2020-21 Premier League title, despite missing Lionel Messi. Liverpool have the second best odds of winning the league, followed by Chelsea – and its American superstar Christian Pulisic – and Manchester United.

Which teams were relegated and promoted?

Bournemouth, Norwich City and Watford finished bottom of the table last season and have been relegated to the second division, the EFL Championship. As a replacement for the defunct clubs and promotion to the top flight, Fulham, Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion are all big teams happy to return to the Premier League.

Which Premier League games are on TV this week?

The first match day of the 2020-21 season runs from Saturday to Monday, with four matches on NBCSN, three matches on Peacock and one match on NBC. No fans will attend in October at the earliest, reports the BBC.

Here is the US broadcast schedule for the week (always ET):

Saturday 12 September

  • Fulham vs. Arsenal, 07:30 on NBCSN
  • West Ham Vs. Newcastle United, 10 on NBCSN
  • Crystal Palace vs. Southampton, 10 at Peacock
  • Liverpool vs. Leeds United, 12:30 on NBC

Sunday 13 September

  • West Brom Vs. Leicester City, 9 on NBCSN
  • Tottenham vs. Everton, 11:30 at Peacock

Monday 14 September

  • Sheffield United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers, 3pm on NBCSN
  • Brighton vs. Chelsea, 3pm at Peacock

How to watch Premier League without cable

US residents do not need a cable or satellite TV subscription to watch NBC, NBCSN or the USA Network – or authenticate an account to stream the matches on NBCSports.com or the NBC Sports app. All the big ones live TV streaming services includes NBC, NBCSN and USA Network, and you can use a TV streaming to log in to NBC Sports livestreams online.

Peacock will show 175 live matches throughout the season and will also have full playbacks available on request for all 380 matches during the 2020-21 season. Replays will be available after 21:00 ET (18:00 PT) match day.

If you live in a well-received area, you can watch Premier League games shown on NBC for free just by attaching a affordable (under $ 30) indoor antenna to almost any TV.

Peacock offers three levels: a limited free plan and two premium plans. The ad-supported Premium plan costs $ 4.99 per month and the ad-free Premium plan costs $ 9.99 per month.
