Apple seems to keep the latest tradition – the third iOS 12.1.1 public beta released to software performers on Thursday, November 15, just a few hours after the 10th PDT version of dev beta 3. Apple likes to take a short while after a developer released to ensure that beta is good enough to release as a whole, as seen with the entire iOS 12 dev beta 7 debacle.
When public beta 3 is available, testers will immediately see that much has not changed since beta 2. In fact, beta 3 seems to be a minor update, introduces bugfixes and security updates. There are no new features here, but in theory the software should be more stable than public beta 2.
To download and update your iPhone to iOS 12.1.1 public beta 3, you must first sign up for the beta program and have a valid configuration profile. If you have enabled iOS 12's new "Automatic Updates," you can let the software be updated overnight. To download beta right now, start the Settings app, select "General" and then "Software Update." Click "Download and install" and then follow the screen.
Aside from minor changes from each beta update, iOS 12.1.1 upgrades the FaceTime interface and returns the Live Photo button after removing it in iOS 12. Additionally updated 12.1.1 News on iPad, dual SIM devices can turn off the nano SIM card account, the Apple Watch icon is updated for Series 4, VoLTE support is here for Sprint, as well as the introduction of a TLS security enhancement.
