We called the Jabra Elite 75t Genuine Wireless Earphones the best genuine wireless earphones you can buy at the beginning of the year. The new Jabra Elite 85t $ 229 enhances this by adding Active Noise Canceling (ANC), wireless charging and an oval fit that is half-open to prevent ear pressure and pain. Oh, and the Jabra Elite 75T earbuds? They get an update to add ANC too!
The Jabra Elite 85t is based on the earbuds that came before them by adding ANC so you can block the world around you. In addition, the 85t knobs have 12 mm speakers for powerful bass and clear sound (at least as much as you can get out of genuine wireless earbuds).
Switching to an oval shape means that the 85ts are half-open, which should prevent the ear pressure from bothering you. But it should also give you a better seal without squeezing them so much in the ear holes, which means a more comfortable fit.
You can adjust how much noise reduction you get. If you prefer a quiet world, you can do it, or you can let it all in. But if you just want to reduce the background noise, it is also an option. The headphones receive IPX4 ratings and have one-button access to Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant.
Jabra says that the earphones will last 5.5 hours with the ANC on, and charging them in the case will give you 25 hours of playing time. Skip ANC, and you get a total of 31 hours of playing time with the case. One of our major complaints about the 75t also gets up – the 85t case has wireless charging.
Speaking of Jabra Elite 75t earbuds, there is good news if you already have a pair. Jaba plans to update both the Elite 75t and Elite Active 75t with new firmware to enable active noise reduction. So you do not need to upgrade just to download ANC. And the ANC comes as standard in the Elite 75t series starting in October.
Titanium / Black Jabra Elite 85t three wireless earbuds will be released in November 2020 for 229 dollars. If you are willing to wait until January 2021, you can take them in gold / beige, copper / black, black or gray.
