Magic Leap One owner, launch your virtual engines, as a virtual reality maker for the automotive industry RelayCars has published an app for Magic Leap World that allows users to customize and try a 2019 Kia Stinger.
The RelayCars app, available as a free download, allows Magic Leap One users to explore a 3D model of the car from different angles in their physical space, change their color and see the virtual vehicle driving around room.
RelayCars has created similar experiences through virtual reality programs on IOS, Android, Oculus Go, Google Daydream, Samsung Gear VR and Windows Mixed Reality, but Magic Leap is its first forefront to enhanced reality, with Kia as a beta seller.
"Stinger is like nothing ever seen from Kia and RelayCars for Magic Leap, so we can bring this award-winning sports sedan to everyone so they can experience the vehicle when and where they want the social platforms like they use most, "said Kimberley Gardiner, Head of Marketing Communication at Kia Motors America." Stinger is proof of what Kia can and has achieved, and this innovative way of interacting with and experiencing Stinger enables consumers to take take time to get to know both the Stinger and Kia brand. "
Again in August, RelayCars revealed that it planned to bring the Magic Leap app, but the Magic Leap gave the world an early taste of what such an experience would look like through its Drive demo app. That said, RelayCars may require credits to breaking new ground with a brand experience.
"We are proud to be the first vehicle application available specifically for the Magic Leap One," said David Falstrup, President of RelayCars. "It's an exciting time to be in the industry and can regularly offer new and improved product range. We hope that the integration of Kia Stinger GT in RelayCars for Magic Leap will ultimately lead our team to create more in-depth experiences that make it possible for customers to experience the car in full, up to the power and drive of it.
