By default, every time you open a Mac application by clicking on it on your Dock, the app icon will briefly “jump” in an animated sequence when the app loads. If you find this annoying, Apple will make it easy to turn it off. Here̵7;s how.
First click on the Apple logo at the top left of the screen and select “System Preferences”.
In System Preferences, click “Dock.”
Under Dock Settings, clear the box next to “Animate application opening.”
Then close System Preferences and click on an application icon in your dock to open it. You will notice that it opens immediately and no longer jumps away from the Dock. Even though you’re not actually speeding up anything, this little change actually makes your Mac feel a little faster.
