Black Widow is not the only Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure we are going on 2020 – Eternals comes out November 6th. They are the next superpowered group to join the MCU, and Marvel Studios has surely assembled an impressive cast – including Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington and a super buff Kumail Nanjiani – to get everyone interested in this movie debut.

The official synopsis arrived this week, noting that the eternities are "ancient aliens who have lived on earth in secret for thousands of years."

"After the events of Avengers: Endgame an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against humanity's oldest enemy, The Deviants," it reads.

In December, a Brazil Comic Con Experience crowd was treated to the first pictures and saw the heroes in costume. Last summer, Marvel Studios concept artist Rodney Fuentebella shared some art with the massive Celestials.

Who is involved in this movie?

Marvel Studios chief honcho Kevin Feige introduced the cast and director Chloe Zhao at the Comic-Con Marvel Studios panel last summer. Her previous film, The Rider, got a score of 92 on the CNET sister site Metacritic.

The film will reunite Kit Harington and Richard Madden, who played cousins Jon Snow and Robb Stark in Game of Thrones. Gemma Chan was previously seen in the MCU as Captain Marvel's Minn-Erva, but Sersi is a separate character.

In December, actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani revealed the fruits of his training – and the intense regime required to maintain it – – to play Sword Kingo in some super buff Instagram shots .

I never thought I would be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I & # 39; We have worked far too hard for so long, so here we are. You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain. I found out a year ago that I was going to be at Marvel's Eternals and decided to change how I looked. I would not have been able to do this if I did not have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid by the world's largest studio. I'm glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time. So much thanks to @grantrobertsfit who started working with me at the beginning of the year and made me understand true physical pain for months and months. Then, when we started shooting, a massive thank you to @davidhigginslondon and his team (@ellispartridge, @thebeardypt, @tomcheesemanfitness) for practicing me almost every day and making me strong, limber and injury free. I can almost touch my tears now. (And thank you for forcing me to cheat meals David.) Matthews Street Catering for their delicious and healthy meals. And finally, the biggest thank you to @emilyvgordon for bringing me complaining and talking about just exercising and dieting this past year. I promise I'll be interesting again one day. #thirstyshirtless (Photo by @markupson.) (edit: I joined a very important person: @lancecallahan who trained me for 6 years and helped me build the foundation I could use to do this. Thank you!)

"I wouldn't have been able to do this if I hadn't had a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid by the biggest studio in the world," he wrote in the caption. "I'm glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did it before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time."

Lauren Ridloff, who you may know as Connie in The Walking Dead will also play MCU's first deaf superhero . Her character, Makkari, is male in the series.

But what's even an eternal, you ask? You may have already met one: Thanos . The great purple mass killer went downtown Avengers: Infinity War and took on a whole bunch of heroes in Endgame. He is an eternal in the series, but we still do not know if the same applies to his MCU equivalent.

Like Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy Eternals will shine the spotlight on Marvel's cosmic comic characters.

Ikarus will be played by Richard Madden. You know he's an intense character because he shoots eye-rays in the sky on the cover of the sixth issue of Marvel & # 39; s Eternals series 2008.

Marvel Comics

Who is Eternals?

Thanos may be the only eternal we have seen on screen, but Eternals has a comedic history dating back to 1976. They were dreamed up by Jack Kirby, co-creator of Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, after he created the very similar New Gods to DC six years earlier.

In the series, they are an evolutionary evolution of humanity living on Earth that has greater powers and has a longer life span. Celestials, a group of space gods, created them to defend the earth.

We have already seen some Celestials in the movies Guardians of the Galaxy – especially the space station Knowhere (actually a Celestial's severed head) and Peter Quill's dad, Ego, (who took a human form) girls other Guardians .
