In recent years, virtual reality has sparked a welcoming reputation to promote better representative gender balance compared to public technology, with women like Nonny de la Peña and many others who lead the fee. Compared with the increased reality has not (at least on the surface) been balanced, something that Microsoft apparently works to handle at development level through an upcoming event.
In December, Microsoft will host the AI & Mixed Reality Hackathon women at the Microsoft Reactor in San Francisco, across the street from the Moscone Center, the site of countless technical events that were important to Silicon Valley's overall history.
The free three-day event will allow developers and advertisers to network and meet Microsoft engineers and designers who will act as mentors during the event. Also HoloLens and Kinect inventors, and Microsoft Technical Fellow, Alex Kipman (a member of this year's NR30) will be on hand to give a special key focus.
