Hellboy returns to theaters, and this time he does without Guillermo del Toro.
The long-standing comic book has already featured two movie adaptations: 2004's Hellboy and 2008's Hellboy II: The Golden Army. But as someone who hardly knows, director Guillermo del Toro's interpretation of the Hellboy universe in these films was much more colorful and warm than the series they drew from. Although Hellboy actor Ron Perlman was built for the role and the films were met by a solid critical response, felt something …
. But now, Hellboy creator, author and artist Mike Mignolaone that Mignola promises will be darker and more of a reflection of the often bleak Hellboy series. And as you can see above, the actor .

Hellboy Hamlet Connection
In an interview with CNET Magazine CNET Magazine Star Harbor doubled the idea that we could expect a darker, gritty Hellboy than Toro's adaptations and that he takes with Hamlet to the 2019 version.
"When I compared it to Hamlet, I said it's a mature adult-themed adult movie," said Harbor. "He is an adult who is struggling with adult things. It's not like I should kill the bad guy by striking him. It's more like, Who's that bad guy?"
Heis not just about swearing and violence, but "a little gory, a little horror movie."
Release Date: April 12, 2019
Hellboy began production in September 2017 and feature filming at the end of December 2017. The film was originally slated for January 11, the release date. But when no trailer arrived, a delay was apparent. Hellboy will now release in theaters on April 12, 2019. In addition to the early shot of the port of his Hellboy makeup and advertising posters at the Cannes Film Festival, there was not much going on to the New York Comic-Con, where an exclusive trailer was screened for fans such as eventually leaked (in predictably low quality) over the internet.
The trailer's more action and quip-centric than one would expect from much of the conversation around Hellboy so far, tagline "Save the world for the hell of it". But a trailer is just a trailer, and the port's makeup and some glimpse of the more outlandish elements of the Hellboy world, look promising.
Cast: Who's with Hellboy, and who's against him?
Hellboy cast members Elizabeth Sherman and Abe Sapien, both featured prominently in the Toro Hellboy movies and led the ongoing Paranormal Research Agency and the defense comedy without Hellboy, is so far absent, suggesting that The film will contain less of the Authority's continuation and be a more independent story than many of the Hellboy series.
Plot News, Rumors and Theories
So far, little is known about Hellboy beyond the basics of its casting and tone. What is very clear is that this Hellboy will try to distinguish itself from the great superheroomic adaptations in recent years and double down what made the series unique.
"Basically, there's no part of Hellboy that will ever be like other superhero movies. And the more amazing things are, the more DC stuff is there, Hellboy never really feels – even in part Toro- things – a superhero movie, says Mignola in an interview with io9. "There's so much" big team of guys, in costumes, jumps around and saves the world from great cosmic hot things … "I think the new movie will feel even less like a common superhero thing. "
A large part of what is different from the Hellboy series is their close ties to regional folklore (which other series has Baba Yaga as a recurring villain?), a measured serious tone (when Hellboy does not drink skeletons or fight armed monkeys) and a wide range look at the state of the earth in the current series.
"To me, it's very Shakespeare. I grew up doing regional Shakespeare and when Hamlet sees his father's ghost, there's something about what you're not really doing in movies anymore, "Harbor said in an interview with Collider." We rarely see an indo movie where you have an emotional patos where somebody sees a ghost. This is a palette where you can get demons and ghosts and great creatures and things that are epic in that way. "
Although neither series has been mentioned as an inspiration for Hellboy, given the announced casting and the film's original subtitle" Rise of the Blood Queen ", it is likely that parts from Hellboy: The Wild Hunt-limited series and Hellboy: The Storm & The Fury collection will be featured prominently. Nimue Blood Queen and Monaghan both play prominent roles in the two big lines. Hellboy's David Harbor makes it real: where Harbor speaks more about the paranormal detective.
