With the first pop-up showroom for North Focal's smartglasses that open their doors next week, customers can now buy smart glasses at a drastically lower price.
Thursday, the company sets a new pricing structure for its smartglasses. Originally priced at $ 999, the Focals Black Finish base model is now available with $ 599 prescription frames, also new this week from the North are prescription frames starting at $ 799.
In addition to the basic frames, customers can choose round frames, alternative colors (Turtle and Gray color) or premium lenses for an extra cost of SEK 100 per custom.
The company has also unveiled the opening date and place for its first temporary store, which arrives at IMWest in Seattle on February 1
9. The touring retail will then travel south to San Francisco, although a specific Bay Area store schedule has not been confirmed.
As previously announced, the showroom tour will also meet other cities throughout North America.
"Our Showrooms in Brooklyn and Toronto have been a good starting point, but we have been in great demand outside these markets. With our new pop-up showroom, we will be able to be focussed to potential customers across North America," says Stephen Lake. CEO and co-founder of North, in a statement, "We start with Seattle and Bay Area, but we will soon expand."
