While exercise is something that almost everyone should do, we need to exercise in moderation. If you train for too long and too hard without sufficient recovery, you risk injuring yourself. That̵7;s where the $ 499.95 Polar Vantage V2 fitness watch comes in; it helps you track the recovery time.
Vantage V2 starts things off with a new “Leg Recovery Test.” You do not need any additional sensors. The watch uses insights to determine if you are ready for an entire workout or should take a break.
It is similar to insights that previous Polar watches could provide, but they were less specific and designed for total body recovery. Polar says you can also set heart rate, speed and power zones with new running and cycling tests to determine if you are reaching your goals.
Like most exercise watches, you get a heart rate sensor and GPS to track your progress. And even though it’s a workout watch, the Vantage V2 includes some smartwatch features, such as weather information, music control and notifications.
With the Polars Flow ecosystem, you get access to tools for planning your training for an entire season, including monitoring your activity and sleep cycles. In addition to the watch, Polar introduces a new Test Hub so you can see all your data in one place, along with measurement values and performance information.
You can pre-order the Polar Vantage V2 from the company website today for $ 499.95 in black, green and gray lime. Polar will also be bundled with an H10 heart rate sensor for $$ 549.95. The watch will be sent out on October 14.
