PS5 pre-orders resell: Check stock at Amazon, Walmart, GameStop and more

We have been waiting for more information about PlayStation 5 since it was announced in 2019, and we are finally at a touching distance. The PS5 will air on November 12 in the US, and we know it costs $ 400 for the digital version or $ 500 with Blu-ray. Although it was planned to start on Thursday, most retailers jumped the gun by unexpectedly taking pre-orders on Wednesday – and in some cases selling out their pre-order parts within minutes.

Walmart delivered another pre-order on Thursday night at 6pm at PT, only for them to sell out in under a minute as well.

Currently we can not find any consoles available for pre-order. This is hardly surprising after the virtual chaos I saw in real time yesterday – the retail pages for retailers came online, went down as if they were hit by denial-of-service attacks and sold out faster than I could report. All stocks at major retailers have come and gone, but there are still some accessories (like the new DualSense Wireless Controller) available for pre-order. Here we stand for the latest publication time. (This story was previously published and updated frequently, but feel free to click on the links below – you may be lucky.)

According to me, Best Buy’s pre-order inventory was the longest, but eventually demand declined. You can still get the accessories.

Target was one of the first to sell out. You can still order a controller:

GameStop has sold through its pre-order console stock. However, you can order some PS5 accessories:

Walmart is also sold for pre-orders. The control unit is still available, however:

At Amazon’s PS5 headquarters, you can see eye-candy images of PS5 accessories such as the DualSense charging station, Pulse 3D wireless headset and HD camera. But click through on the actual console page and you will find no way to order at the moment.

Sony allowed users to register here for the option to pre-order a PS5, but as of Thursday night, the page says “Registration is now closed.”
