A leaked version of the Android 9.0 Pie for the Galaxy S9 and S9 + has emerged to give us a glimpse of what the latest update has to offer, and it really does not disappoint. Samsung Experience got a great makeover with Android 9.0, which includes aesthetic changes in many of its built-in apps.
In particular, the phone app has a brand new layout on Pie. First, the different tabs have been moved to the bottom of the screen to make it easier to reach. Now you do not need to get up to tap "Recent", "Contacts" or "Places", and instead you can simply tap any of the options without having to adjust your grip.
Additionally, AndroidWiki TouchWiz has dragged the floppy keypad and added it as a new option on the Move Options tab at the bottom of the screen for a cleaner user interface. This is a genius feature on Samsung's part, as it will streamline user experience when switching from devices like iPhone to Galaxy smartphones.
To add some animation to the phone app, Samsung has also sprinkled some color on the Contacts page, and has entered the letter icon next to each contact (which has not been assigned a photo) with its own unique color combination that can help you on the go .
] As a built-in Samsung application, the phone app has also received Night Theme Therapy which comes as standard with Android Pie. With the dark mode enabled, the app switches to a beautiful interface consisting of a battery-resistant black background with gray and white accents, as shown by the screenshots below.
As much as Samsung's improvements in the Phone app are, it's just the top of the iceberg – there are many features that also received some attention when arriving on Android Pie, so be sure to check back often when we come to them one by one.
