Halloween 2018 was a bit gloomy for Stranger Things fans. In 2017, Season 2 of Netflix's horror movie drama came out a few days before the shady holiday, which makes a streaming TV treat better than any candy. But fans must consolidate with Funny Snickers Bars and SweeTarts this fall, as the blockbuster battle will not be back to 2019.
To ease the pain, Netflix has reminded fans that November 6th is; in the show's universe in 1983, it was the day that Byers disappeared. Some fans wonder that we may get the first season 3 trailer on Tuesday, but it's Netflix so someone's guess is good.
The show seems to come from nowhere in July 2016, with the 1980s setting and rich pop culture details. Young Will Byers disappears one night after playing D & D with his friends in Hawkins, Indiana. The development plot contains a secret government lab, a young girl with psychokinetic forces called eleven, an unpleasant face-filled monster and goo and christmas lights that blink an unpleasant message. The increased sales of Eggo waffles, eleven favorite lunch and created a whole move, Justice for Barb, after a loved one disappeared from a pool and sent fans from the deep end.
Visan has been renewed for a third season, and co-creator Matt and Ross Duffer say a fourth and fifth season is likely. Here's a filthy look at what strange things await.
When? Where? What?
Season 3 will be in 2019 and will be eight episodes long, the same as the first season (but a lower than season 2). It's set in the summer of 1985, hoping forward one year from season 2.
For the two previous seasons, Netflix has posted all new episodes at once, making the show another poster child for binge watching. We expect the same episode to be dumped again, even though we have no confirmation.
Production began on April 20th. On April 27, Netflixof the cast that sat down to read what is probably the first script of the new season. (Priah Ferguson orders the audience to "get out of here!") Unfortunately, there are no spoilers, but it's fun to see the throw again, even if only the head on the head.
At the Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2018, the producer told Shawn Levy The Hollywood Reporter that the film would last for two months and make it November. He added: "Cinematically, it's our biggest season yet."
Star Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler, echoed Levy and said that "This year it feels very big. I mean [all the seasons] feels great, but this one may feel the biggest so far so it's been good."
How to watch
Get yourself a Netflix subscription. Stranger Things is a jewel in the crown of the service of the original series, and it's the best way to make sure you get all new episodes plus access to the first two seasons.
Not sure Netflix is worth it for you? The service offers a free one month trial, so if you sign up for the new season's premiere, you can enjoy the new season and both previous years and then cancel your membership free of charge. But we expect another two seasons so you may have to sign up later (or find a Netflix subscriber friend who will invite you)
Meet the cast
Returns 2 “/>
Maya Hawke: Hawke, actor of actor Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, will join the cast as Robin, Variety reports. Robin is described as "an" alternative girl "bored with her everyday day job. She seeks excitement in her life and becomes more than she negotiated for when she reveals a dark secret."
Cary Elwes: Elwes, who is always known to many as Westley in The Princess Bride, comes to Hawkins, where he will play the city mayor. "Kline, smooth and handsome, mayor Kline is your classic 80's politician – more concerned about his own image than with the small town's people he rules.".
Jake Busey: Busey, son of the most acclaimed actor Gary Busey, will play Bruce, as described by Netflix as "a journalist for The Hawkins Post with dubious morality and a sick humor."
What we know about the action
Freeze, police! In October 2018, a casting message about extras with military and police saw the experience of filming with the show in Atlanta. Both men and women aged 18-50, of any ethnicity, are needed. Hmm, what Stranger Things Plot might call for a major military or police presence? Can Chief Hopper call in a greater power to help control the supernatural side of Hawkins?
Look up the band: In September 2018, cast messagesto appear in an episode of Stranger Things. As with the police / military casting message above, there is not a lot of information to go with this news: Should it be a school belt? A community group? Should they appear in a parade? And, of course, we do not know if any of the top cast members will be part of the band, which seems to be able to play a bigger role in an episode, or if the band is only background noise.
Life is a Beach: Celeb Web Site Just Jared published a photo of Millie Bobby Brown who filmed what seems to be a rather dramatic scene on the beach in Malibu, California. Stranger Things are obviously set in landlocked Indiana, so perhaps the Pacific Ocean faces an Indiana lake or river. Or maybe the river takes a west coast journey in the new season. About a week later, more snaps of casting in Georgia were revealed this time, with most of eleven friends, but she was not seen. It is unclear what scene the children filmed, and most of them were wrapped in robes, either to keep warm or hide what they were wearing.
The pupil's backstory revealed : Seer has already met Eleven mom, worried Terry Ives, but a new youthful novel, published in February 2019, will dig into mother's mother's past even more. Entertainment Weekly published an excerpt from Gwenda Bond's book, called Suspicious Minds, and it follows Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine on the show) when he tries to mount a group of young test subjects, probably including Terry. Five years old eight, as the eleven meets when she is older, is also shown.
Love is in the air: The romantic duos of Eleven / Mike and Max / Lucas are still together in season 3, but for how long? "They are like 13 or 14 year old children, so what does romance mean at this stage of life?". But Find Wolfhard, who plays Mike, noted that the exhibition will be launched in the summer of 1985 and called it the "summer of love". Wolfhard was not out for the first summer of love in 1967 and he was not born until after the summer of 1985. But his quote seems hint that love and relationships will be part of season 3 for good or too ill.
Not everyone's romance will be hearts and flowers. David Harbor, who plays police director Jim Hopper, said his character would "take more risks with these new languages of intimacy and vulnerability," but "will dodge and be terrible to it".
Father figure as a martyr: Even in the summer of 2018,that he knows how he would like his character to bend out. "I would like to take a bullet for the eleven," he said. And when the fans forgot the selfless answer, he replied, "Now you're glad I die!" But no fear. I think that Hopper will stick to the final end of the show. We have to wait and see if he is living happily ever afterwards (with Joyce?) Or heroically exchanging his life for the river.
New faces: Find Wolfhard performed at the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in August 2018 and suggested some new additions. "We're in the middle of the movie season," said Wolfhard. "We have some new throw members, some incredible people." But it was about all he would lose, and Fallon quickly changed the subject to joking about how he would appear on the show as a "strange uncle or something." New characters are no surprise, and if they play big roles like Max and Billy did in season 2, surely details will leak out soon.
More D & D: The first season started with the top boys playing Dungeons & Dragons, which really helped show all the geeks out there. Expect more of the fantasy roleplay in season 3. As Comicbook.com pointed out, artist Jared Flaming shared at Instagram in April to teach the show's director about the game.
Dad Steve is back: Older teenage character Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), who proved to be a big game for Dustin in season 2, will keep that role. "I'll just say we will not abandon Dad-Steve Magic," said Levy THR.
Back in Time: Ghostbusters was an important theme in Season 2 and Michael J. Fox's 1985 film Back to the Future will be a key element in this season's season.
Chasing Chase: Back to the future is not the only 1980's movie that will play a role. David Harbor told Variety that the Chevy Chase 1985 Action Comedy. "Fletch is a movie we can play and have fun with this season, which you would not expect from Stranger Things. And you would not expect from the Spielberg universe and you would not really expect from a darker season," he said. said.
Hopper's story: Harbor also told Variety that he hopes the exhibition will investigate his character's history as both a New York police and a veterinarian from Vietnam. "I'm curious about how his tours in Vietnam could have shaped him to be who he is and if some of those things are not still dying or bumping on him in different ways," said Harbor.
Sing it, sister: Luca's lively younger sister Erica (Priah Ferguson) will have an expanded role this season, and deserved so. "It will definitely be more Erica in season 3," shows co-creator Ross Duffer told Yahoo Entertainment. "http://www.cnet.com/"We have to use more Erica" - it was one of the first things we said in the author's room. "
Keeps with the townspeople: Millie Bobby Brown, who plays eleven, did his best to start a bad rumor about the new season. While interviewed by E! In mid-May, Brown co-star Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) asked if he loved to see reality show star Kim Kardashian at Stranger Things. A confused Schnapp thought the casting was a reality, and Brown led him to claim that Kardashian would play a character called 10. Kardashian himself seemed to be on board tweeting an enthusiastic answer . (Fan Release: NOOOOO PLEASE NOOOO!)
