Today̵
7;s best GoPro deals

  • GoPro Adventure accessory kit$ 39, was $ 50
  • GoPro HERO7 Silver 4K waterproof action camera$ 200
  • GoPro Fusion$ 300, was $ 700
  • GoPro Hero 8 Black$ 350, was $ 399
  • GoPro Hero 8 package$ 388, was $ 499

GoPro Hero 8 Black

GoPro Hero 8 Black is a versatile upgrade to the popular action camera, in a slightly larger and heavier package than Hero cameras before it. However, there is a reason for this: Hero 8 Black now includes built-in mounting arms, which denies the need for clamp frames from Heroes past. It can record video at up to 4K 60 fps, with enhanced stabilization technology (HyperSmooth 2.0) available over any resolution or frame rate.

GoPro not only improved the action camera’s capabilities when it launched the Hero 8 Black. It also brought with it a new, more practical design. It is slightly larger and heavier than its predecessor, but the extra size and weight means that there is now room for built-in mounting arms, and that does not mean more extra clamping frame. It will be mounted on anything completely by itself.

Another significant improvement on the outside of the camera enables the mounting of “mods”. Originally, there are three modes available: A media mode that adds a directional hail microphone to the Hero 8 Black; a Light mode that adds an external light that can be attached in Media mode or stand-alone with other GoPro mounts; and Display mode that adds a 2-inch tiltable LCD screen to your GoPro.

GoPro Max

GoPro Max is the company’s newest 360-degree camera and can be seen as the successor to Fusion, the company’s previous 360-degree camera range. You can shoot from any of the 180-degree cameras separately or together, and Maxi’s stabilization and sound quality are better than even the Hero 8 thanks to automatic horizontal equalization and a total of six microphones across the device.

Editing photos with the GoPro app is super easy, so you can reshape your movie any way you want (we recommend that you record 360 all the time so you can choose exactly what you want). It also has built-in mounting arms like the Hero 8, which again denies the need for additional mounts in many cases.

With only about $ 100 cheaper than the Hero 8, that’s a lot – but we warn you that the video quality is not as good as some other 360 cameras and that the “seam” is not perfect. But that’s part of the 360-degree videography right now.

GoPro Hero 7 Black

Before the GoPro Hero 8 Black was introduced, the Hero 7 Black was the cream of the crop when it came to the GoPros. It was the first GoPro to introduce the company’s HyperSmooth video stabilization technology. But with this model, it is only available at selected frame rates and resolutions. Hero 7 Black has a maximum frame rate of 4K 60fps and has a 12-megapixel camera.

A feature called SuperPhoto applies intelligent HDR and noise reduction to photos taken to ensure high-quality images, and it also supports live video streaming.

GoPro Hero 7 Silver

Hero 7 Silver is a step down from Black, with a maximum frame rate of 4K 30 fps and a maximum resolution of 10 megapixels, and without HyperSmooth video stabilization technology that makes Hero 7 Black so attractive (although it still offers video stabilization, almost nowhere so useful) . However, these differences make Silver a much cheaper camera, so the trade-offs may be worth it for those who want to save some money.

This model has a voice control feature so you can take timelapse videos hands-free. You can also track your speed, distance and more as it has a GPS Performance Stickers to show how fast, far and high you went when you did the stunt, making it a valuable option for action sports enthusiasts – especially those running on softer surfaces (think skiing, snowboarding and so on).

GoPro Hero 7 Vit

Hero7 White was the previous generation’s beginner camera but was discontinued after the introduction of the Hero 8 Black. Like the Hero 7 Silver, it has a maximum image resolution of 10 megapixels, however, the maximum frame rate for White is only 1080p 60fps. You will also lose the GPS Performance Sticker functionality of Silver as well.

Still, for those looking for a capable action camera at a good price, the Hero 7 White can be a solid alternative.

GoPro Hero 6 Black

The Hero 6 Black was launched in 2017 and was the first GoPro to offer 4K 60 fps video and 1080p 240 fps video for super slow motion. GoPro claims that the Hero 6 Black offers twice as much as the previous generation with greatly improved image quality. This model also has improved stabilization compared to previous models, and pekzoom and an improved user interface, which makes it easier to use than any previous GoPro on the market.

GoPro Hero 5 Black

The Hero 5 Black was launched in 2016 and was GoPro’s first new action camera in almost two years. While these days the camera’s feature set may seem a bit pedestrian, at the time the feature set was quite impressive. Hero 5 Black could record 4K video at 30 fps and slow-motion video at 1080p 120fps.

One thing that GoPro brought up with the Hero 5 Black was the sound quality, a problem with many action cameras. Hero 5 Black was the first GoPro to offer advanced audio features with three stereo microphones and noise reduction technology. The result was much better sound quality than its predecessors.

GoPro Hero (2018)

GoPro Hero (2018) was marketed as a beginner camera when it was released, marketed as a cheap alternative to the Hero 6 Series action cameras. It had a maximum frame rate of 1080p 60fps and supports a maximum photo resolution of 10 megapixels. It also included the same image stabilization as the Hero 5 Black.
