officially , but Amazon is already teasing some rather tempting offers. It includes some that are already live.
The markup offers apply to each of Amazon’s new network router systems,1; and in any case, as an early Prime Day deal, Amazon will be throwing in a couple of free devices to sweeten the pot. . As the names suggest, everyone adds full support , and also includes a Zigbee hub for connecting things like and . They will not be shipped until early November, but you can pre-order right now ̵

The cost of a three-part Eero 6 system with the router and two line-extending satellite devices is $ 279. That system won’t hit stores until early November, but if you’re willing to pre-order, you can currently get it bundled with a free Echo Dot and two free Philips Hue lamps. Total cost: still $ 279, which is a lot of a deal.
Thanks to the new Zigbee hub in the Eero router, you will be able to pair these Hue lamps directly with your home network and with Alexa, this is where the free Echo Dot comes in. From there, you will be able to turn the lights on and off, adjust the brightness and color temperature, or start your favorite light scenes with a quick voice command to Amazon’s assistant.
A few things to keep in mind, though. First, while this deal gives you the new Wi-Fi 6 version of Eros’ network router, you will not get the latest Echo Dot with its new spherical design. Instead, you get the previous, puck-shaped model from 2018. No biggie there.
Second, the two Hue lamps are Hue White Ambiance LEDs. This means that they can change color temperatures on the white light spectrum, with shades ranging from a yellowish, light-like glow to warmer, more bluish-white daylight tones. However, they can not change the colors of the RGB spectrum – so no green, blue, pink, purple, red or anything like that. It’s a bit ridiculous, but at least the new Eero routers do it so you do not need a Hue Bridge if you just control them via the Alexa app.
In the meantime, if you’d rather upgrade to the sleeker Eero Pro 6 system, which also comes out in November, you can currently find the $ 599 bundle bundled on Amazon with a free Fire TV Cube, which typically sells for $ 120 on own hand . That router can reach higher top speeds than the standard Eero 6 listed above, and the triband design has an additional 5 GHz band that you can devote to system transfers between the router and extender. This is the best approach for fast, advanced networking, as our tests repeatedly show. Adding a free Fire TV Cube also helps reduce the sting of the higher asking price.

The deal is not live until Prime Day (October 13), but you will also be able to save $ 75 on a three-pack of last year’s Eero system. There is no support for Wi-Fi 6 with this (and no free Philips Hue lights or Echo speakers), but it is still a perfectly capable system for people with ISP speeds of less than 500 Mbps. A well-stocked mesh router with two extensions for just under $ 200 is a steal. Read more on CNET.
