The best places to buy a domain name

If you do not have a connection to ICANN, the organization responsible for managing domain names will purchase your domain name from a domain name registrar, a company accredited by ICANN to sell domain names.

You can purchase your domain name from any of these registrars, and it will work the same way. The only thing that separates these companies from each other is their ease of use and the other features they provide with the domain, such as email service, Whois protection, and the quality of their namespace.

Google Domains: Simple Domains, Easy Integrations

Google Domains is a simple, no hassle registrar. It's rocking Google's stylish design, combined with good DNS tools and industry-leading security. Most people looking for a domain also want email to go next to it and Google Domains will be integrated well with your existing G Suite subscription. Note that this requires you to pay for Google's premium email service. It does not work with a regular Gmail account.

Their search service is quite basic but does not get in the way. If you know what you are looking for, it may be right for you.

Pricing is quite average, but if you want to quickly get your site up without any problems, Google is probably your best bet. 19659007] Hover: Great Search Tools and Suggestions

Hover is a simple registrar who offers average prices and good service. Where Hover shines are their suggestions, similar domains show different styles and synonyms to help you limit the domain you want. Their search page has a useful sidebar with different categories and filters for different extensions.

Here we searched for the domain "cookiesbygrandma.com" which was taken. Right automatically suggested a list of domains that are as big for our search term as we may be good with them instead. If you are not exactly what domain you want, try Hover.

Their .com domains begin at $ 12.99 a year, and they offer mail forwarding to $ 5 a year, plus free Whois privacy on top of it.

GoDaddy: Domains and Hosting, Higher Rates

GoDaddy is a great option if you want web hosting with your domain or want everything to be handled under the same umbrella. Generally, it's ideal to keep your domain separate from your web provider if you want to switch to another provider at any time. But GoDaddy is a domain registrar first and a web host, so you can always transfer the domain to another registrar or change DNS to point to a new host.

GoDaddy offers great hosting services, a custom site builder, and managed WordPress host, along with many templates to help you get started. They are a little expensive and their web hosting can be a little clunky for something complicated, but if you build a simple website, it will do the job.

GoDaddys prices seem to be low first but they go up after the first year. At full price, their .com domains are $ 15 a year, but that's the price you pay to be on the largest domain registrar.

NameCost: Cheap prices, decent service

NameCheap is as cheap as the name suggests. They offer great deals at just $ 8.88 for most .com domains, with some more dunky additions even under a dollar. Their DNS is also not bad, and offers free WhoI's protection and a robust DNS provider that is easy to manage and transfer.

They have a bulk search option that allows you to search up to 50 domain names at the same time, so if you have a full list of ideas, you can enter them all, see what can be taken and check the prices for different top domains .

They offer managed WordPress hosting through EasyWP, but it is probably best to join a better WordPress provider and forward the domain to that site.
